Got a lot of time for Paal.

Always available, no histrionics, just got on with it.

Good luck to him.

Thanks Paal.

You weren’t treated great but behaved in a dignified way nonetheless.

Step up Francesinha / Vale / new and yet to be revealed European left back!

CN - "Whilst we are going our separate ways contractually, the Club will continue to support Ken in whatever way he wishes as he searches for his next adventure.”

Sounds a bit cryptic?

Francesinha? If they start selling them at Loftus Road, I'm coming to more home games

Best wishes to him. He wa almost always available to play, unlike a lot of others the club signed that summer.

Absolutely the same.

Bailed on by the manager that brought him into his "project" and last summer the club trying to flog him the entire window.

Despite that never hid or complained and showed up week in, week out.

Wish him the best.

This but ultimately limited left back which was unfortunate

An attacking left back brought in to play the snakes expansive football that ended up having to do a whole lot of defending without much support. Ultimately 130 games in 3 years is very impressive and shouldn't be understated, a consistent 6/10 is sometimes what you need.

Looking forward to seeing if Larkeche and Esquerdinha can step up next year. Potentially Vale too if he continues in that position.

Just means he can train at the club whilst he finds a new club.

No more limited than most of our first team players........

Does thus mean we are going to be drip fed the departures too?

Suspect he won’t seem so limited if Larkeche is first choice next year

I‘m quick to bash him, but this is actually positive PR from CN (assuming it’s genuine).

Clubs that can’t spunk £30m on players need to be seen as a nice place to work.

I always thought he was Curates Egg - good in parts. Who'd be a curate eh?
Seriously, as said above, mostly always available, no moaning,
better going forward, but hope he does well.

I'll miss him. I thought the guy was always available despite all the drama going on around him. Think Chair will miss him a lot as they had a very good understanding and he mentioned they were good buddies on a recent podcast

I'm torn on this one. Teams regularly targeted his side and he was pretty poor 1 v 1 but as others have said, he was almost always available and had spells where he was half decent. Won't miss the corners constantly hitting the first man.

I suspect another one that fits Clive’s phrase: ‘Didn’t get the holiday that was advertised in the brochure’.

I liked him but his limitations as a full back in a ‘four’ were found out by opposing managers / teams.

The half season under Beale when he slotted together with Chair and Willock on the left gave us some wonderful moments. It was great fun watching them torment their opposition. A real shame that for reasons that were not his fault it was downhill from there.

A "baller". Lovely touch, lovely technique, would be a lovely Futsal player.
Constantly targetted; admittedly frequently isolated, but he stood far too far off the attackers, poor on 1 on 1s, can't beat a man, delivered mainly crap crosses with the odd pearler and really did not want to be here after being told he'd be sold during the summer.

Yes he was mostly available and mostly steady 6/10 each week, but I can't help feeling short-changed. I feel he was much better than he showed us.

Good luck though; as most others said, he at least had a great attitude..

Can we go out yet?

Me too, believe he took some unfair stick, always available, steady 6/10 and seemed to care.
We’ve done this before with Bidwell and Manning who both went on to prove us wrong.

I've never seen Evita, I don't like Lloyd Webber but the lyrics that Sir Tim Rice penned for the song 'Oh What a Circus' are really apt for Kenneth Paal's departure.
This won't be popular and you can hit as many dislikes as you wish but, for me, he did more harm than he did good!
I have watched from the Loft time and time again how he allowed the opposition to get to the goal line and cross into our box and then seen the net bulge because he failed to tackle, block, stop the cross. I have watched teams time and again target our left flank and cut in.
Even away games, where friends have attended and we have gone a goal or two down, I have simply asked (knowing the answer) was the ball crossed from the left goal line or did they get round Paal?
He was great going forward, I have also said that time and again but in the balance of appreciation did he do more positive going forward than he did negative in defence?
I wish him well but we could not afford to keep having him allow teams to get past him and so I am glad that he has gone - we need a defence and, I'm sorry, he was not very good in that role play!
