Swans now ready to move on an alternative to Darling 12:32 - Jun 2 with 9953 views | KeithHaynes | As mentioned on another thread Sheehan wants players in before they return in a month. However, the P&S financial year to keep it simple won’t start until July 1st. Three targets lined up. Can’t find anything on the Lincoln City link. Dilemma for sure.

Swans now ready to move on an alternative to Darling on 15:16 - Jun 6 by Landore_Jack | The club should have offered him a contract last summer. If he refused they should have cashed in on him. Now he walks away for nothing. The club are to blame for poorly handling the situation. |
Yea I agree. I postulated 8 months ago one of Cabango or Darling would go. Pay one and use the fee to cover the pay rise. Just good business.

It’s pathetic business. We only had two decent centre backs at the time. Run with one of them and Christie? Naughton? Thank god the new owners stepped in when they did

There is no real point in withdrawing it now as he has 3 weeks left on his current contract and we can't afford to buy a replacement for 3 weeks anyway. Just let it run it's course as the club are still hoping he re signs, while firming up plans if he doesn't. First week of July, he will have either have re signed or we will have his replacement.

There will be rumours until he signs somewhere. As for Rangers, if he signed he would be there longer than Martin and he knows it. Is he happy with that thought, let's wait and see.

I use AI to check stuff I say. The club were talking to Darling about a new deal in August 2024. Give him a deadline and then make a loan signing like Phillips of Liverpool. Darling then knows he has to find a new club. The fee for Dad arling covers Cabango"'s pay rise and Phillips' s loan.Ee all agreed Coleman was weak on this.

Replacement joins on July 1st. Pretty accurate.

Nice to see a graceful departure instead of the bitter, acrimonious one some people wanted. It's not even as if him hanging on has prevented us from making moves in the market to replace him.

Never been convinced that he'll follow Martin. He certainly didn't seem to get much out of being coached by him last time. Still Birmingham or Norwich for me. As a Cambridge lad Norwich might just be favourites.

Tbh it was bound to happen with his contract finishing at the end of June and us having owners who seem to have a clue what's going on.
