The club should have offered him a contract last summer. If he refused they should have cashed in on him. Now he walks away for nothing. The club are to blame for poorly handling the situation. |

There is no real point in withdrawing it now as he has 3 weeks left on his current contract and we can't afford to buy a replacement for 3 weeks anyway. Just let it run it's course as the club are still hoping he re signs, while firming up plans if he doesn't. I use AI to check stuff I say. The club were talking to Darling about a new deal in August 2024. Give him a deadline and then make a loan signing like Phillips of Liverpool. Darling then knows he has to find a new club.
