Chania Crete in 6days & can’t wait
Not been to Chania, but Crete is some place. I was lucky enough to go there many times with my mum and dad and almost died through hospitality that we could never reciprocate over here.
Did I ever mention that I was in Minder?

Peak District next weekend for my CRUK Big Hike (shameless plug!), Lake District end of June for some walking with mates and looking at Montenegro in August (wife is a teacher). Then will either do Brecon Beacons or Snowdonia in September for a bit more walking.
Booked a hotel for four nights on the Devon / Cornwall border . It’s a dog friendly hotel so the Collie/ Labrador is coming with us. As it’s a long journey we’ve got over night pit stops in Salisbury. Hopefully the weather will hold up .

Mallorca again. Same place as last year. The big change is, that for the first time in living memory, we can go in September. Half price everything :-)
Arenys de Mar near Barcelona end of the month , lovely AirBnB, just myself and the better half. Then September ,South of France , a place called Caromb in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur with the whole family. Any recommendations for either place would be welcomed.

Suffolk. A part of the world that I’ve never visited before. Staying in a Landmark Trust building which we’ve done for the last few years. They have some beautiful properties….if you like really old buildings.

Mallorca is very underrated and still suffers from a 1970s cheap and cheery/boozy stag do holiday reputation. Stayed in Pollenca many times and some of the beaches can’t be beaten imho.

Girona for a few days next week. Wedding anniversary and to a very swanky restaurant. Will also be catching up with the Cifuentes' for drinks in the garden.

The garden should be looking beautiful. After all, he's had 5-6 weeks to work on it.

Chania Crete in 6days & can’t wait
Just back 2 days ago from Rethymno in Crete. The first 2 1/2 days was rain, thunder and lightning. Then suddenly....blink. ☀️. Despite only 4 days of sun, I still came looking like a rasher of bacon. It was my first time in Crete and its a beautiful place. Loved it. Going back start of August for 2 weeks to Agia Marina just outside Chania.
Technology advances, unfortunately humans do not.

Went there last year (alcudia) for the first time last summer and hated it. So overcrowded and the hotel was abysmal despite being 4 star. I agree the beaches are good though.

My main holiday is two weeks in Corfu start of July, love the Greek islands and with an added bonus of flying from Norwich, you can literally park right next to the terminal, only a few flights a day out of there so no Queues and no hassle.
