The players I imagine are going to be back in 2 weeks and we don’t know who the manager is, who we are playing for pre season, the new coach whoever it is will literally be coming in starting completely afresh with no time to look at the squad and prepare for pre season. Absolutely, totally embarrassing. I don't think it is particularly bright of the club to set this up for that reason alone, plus losing a pre season friendly to them 6-0 or whatever, just highlights how low we have sunk and how clueless we are.

Was told about this weeks ago and my initial reaction was a grimace when I think I was supposed to look pleased about it.
Seems unnecessary and not sure what we gain except an embarrassing lesson, a bunch of lemons rocking up thinking it’s their cup final a huge met police bill .

Maybe we just need to get over ourselves a bit here. Brentford will be a good test for fitness and the new manager (whoever that maybe for both clubs) to gage a feel for the club in a local Derby. Possibly a big paying crowd so that's also a positive.

It does seem that the club’s losing/lost touch with the fanbase. Even the headline on the offish about the match, “R’s to entertain Brentford” seems all wrong. Might seem picky and I’m not one of the people who have been criticising up until now but I don’t think anyone on here would have chosen that headline. “Rangers to entertain Bees” is infinitely better and that’s just off the top of my head. | | | |
