Pointless but 100 million for the winner...

Intriguing aspects might be seeing south America clubs

Clearly European sides need a break however

Another expansion of Gianni Infanticide’s Empire, like expanding the World Cup Finals to include almost everybody.

I used to enjoy it when it was just the continental champions - watching Utd play legendary sides like Vasco da Gama and the like.

This new monstrosity seems as rotten as it gets!

Ironic that Citeh and Chelsea are the first English clubs competing in this .
Finically doped to the eyeballs and competing for Infantinos wet dream . A man who makes Blatter look straight .
Not really interested in the premier leauge even less so in this.
I see Citeh are spending millions again so they must be expecting good news from the charges brought against them .

No interest in it whatsoever.

Lot of the lads in work yesterday were talking about how they can get dodgy streams.. or download it onto their fire sticks... getting up at silly o clock to watch it and if Real Madrid or who ever will tonk Nohope United ....
And I'm sitting there thinking... all I hope for is are we going to announce a pre season friendly at Wealdstone... or are we going to have a head coach/manager .... enough to make your teeth bleed

Really? I haven't come across one person bothered about this.

An event designed for non football fans, I’d be ashamed of myself if I took even a modicum of interest.

You dont need a dodgy stream , it was a condition of granting the rights to DAZN that it was free to air

It would be difficult to ignore if we supported a team taking part .

True but I’d be ashamed of my club for taking part.

Actually, given our paucity of any pre season planning year on year, I’d quite like to see a reintroduction of something along the lines of the old Anglo-Italian cup. Use it in July as warm up preparation for the season, in groups of eight with no more than one club from any Division, QF, SF and a final. Winner from each group goes into a final 16 the following pre season to decide overall winner. Rest, or those that apply, carry on with their own mini tournament and form a final 16 for the following pre season and so on. Or something like that.

I’d imagine you could rustle up enough teams across Europe each pre season to take part. Doesn’t need tv but dare say some media outlet will step in.

Hard to surpass Blatter in the 'wot a tvvat stakes' but Infantino is succeeding for me.

Infantino, taken from the BBC: "I'm a positive person generally, but they criticise Fifa if the prices are too high, then they criticise Fifa if the prices are too low. Then they criticise Fifa if we make ticketing promotions with students. Students! When I was a student and I didn't have money, I would have loved Fifa to come to me and say: 'You want to come and watch a World Cup match?'"

They criticise FIFA when prices too low!!! You complete bell end! No one has ever moaned when tickets are fairly priced for ordinary working people to buy. Instead, he's now trying pass this giveaway to loads of annoying people yelling 'awwwesome' all the time as anything but an attempt to fill stadiums because you tried to fleece fans at the start. Blokes a plum, FAs should f..k him off.

CWC: Cunce Without Conscience.

I was impressed with Lower Slobovian champions FC Fartzkins, for turning down their invitation in favour of watching the annual Goat Wrestling Championship, held at the Og The Heinous National Stadium in the capital, Krötch.

'What do we want? We don't know! When do we want it? Now!'

Boca v Benfica last night was everything I hate about modern football. Players rolling around faking injury, pressuring the ref to book players. Constantly surrounding the ref.
Horrible game to watch. Although at least there was a decent crowd there. (all Boca).

Smells like a trout farm in here

50,000 empty seats for Chelsea game last night.
Going really well then …
