I've also been described as having "very small pockets." Usually by my mates at the pub.

I am all for this tactic of bringing in talented youngsters from abroad. Reminds me of when I used to play footy manager and my reserve squad was always full to the brim with random kids from various youth set-ups. Full on puppy farm.

Exactly. Sounds promising. Right type of signing for the Dev squad. I wouldn’t expect him to breakthrough at all this season, but that is fine. Having Bennie here clearly helped attract him. They need to spend the next 12 months building up his upper body strength…similar issue for Tuck. Otherwise he’ll be eaten alive in the Champ.

Exactly on signing. Re Tuck, you know at the final he looked like the biggest kid in the playground, he has definitely filled out, whether it’s enough we need to wait and see. DS is more exciting now than ever which makes the future equally more exiting. Actually felt Nourry’s welcome not his worst words ( yesterdays obviously the best)

I thought at that final that is stood out how much Morgan looked the biggest lad in our team. Not in height, but in his shoulders/chest and just genuine muscle. Tuck is still a bit of a twig. I get that is his body shape and it doesn’t mean he’s weak per se, but look at his build to Sam Field. Similar height and Field probably weighs 10kg more, maybe more, and you wouldn’t even say Field was stocky. That’s what Tuck needs to put on and what this lad will too. Personally, I think on the ball Tuck is already Championship quality, but off the ball and in duels he’s a long way off. And the problem is, we can’t carry a lad at 6 or 8 who is that far off when out of possession or in duels. We’d get hammered (we were last season when we did this with Madsen there and whilst Varane was getting up to speed). It’s critical they build muscle and turn into men from the boys they are now. If they can, we’ll have some serious players on our hands.

There seems to be significant improvements to DS. In terms of numbers and, apparent, quality. Let's see how that translates to DS performance e in 25/26. And, more important, how many kids graduate to 1st team.

Ever more clear to me that we're planning for the medium/long term, in terms of what talent is affordable and creating future value. Of course how we survive in the Championship in the meantime is another matter!

Given that every DS signing mentions QPR's 'pathway' to senior football, it's essential we bring some of them through into the first team. The pathway is clearly attracting these promising young players, so we have to make sure it's actually working.

Fully agree we need to ensure it clearly still works but I think our current record of bringing players into the first team from 17-20 years old is excellent. Over the past 8 years the list would include: Chair, Eze, Manning, Bright, Lumley, Dieng, Armstrong, Lloyd, Kolli, Manning, Smyth, Morgan and Sutton. There are a few more that have played a handful of games. But that’s over 2 a year on average to have come through the DS and play a decent amount of Championship games.

I love bringing this up. I think it was 32 first team appearances since our last relegation. Some right duffers in there it’s true, but that’s still impressive. There was a few exceptions such as when Warburton left an empty space on the bench rather than put a YTS on it, which I think was shitty behaviour of a manager I otherwise liked.

I thought you were being on point from a comic petspective. Transpires you were regurgitating the latest wisdom to flow from the boy. Nourry just cannot help himself. He's like Max Headroom v12.09. He must be a total nightmare to servers when ordering in a restaurant.

Admittedly that league is lower league 1 standard. Like Bennie, he will need to adapt to the Championship via the Development Squad and probably a loan. Leyton Orient might be good for him.

Waiter: Hello Sir, how was everything tonight? CN: The chicken had rare profile of 8/10. Waiter: The chicken was rare? CN: No, the chicken had entered the phase of making the alterations to my appetite. Via the leadership of the chef and supported by individual waiters and the rest of the staff, it has been brilliant to see some of our brightest menu items get opportunities and take them: cheese and bacon potato skins, sour cream, two for one cocktails , and the fudge Sundae with two spoons have all contributed positively thus far. Waiter: Er, well, here is your bill CN: This bill presents us with low percentage service charges. I will be providing additional resources to reward your surplus efforts. Waiter: I’m sorry what? CN: For fck sake, it was pukka alright. [Post edited 20 Jun 0:57]

I went to a Perth Glory game about twenty years ago and was surprised at the quality, around League 2, National League standard, although much of that quality came from Eastern European imports. One full back was superb, so good on the ball, I alerted the club when I got back. No reply. Would you say that the A League is slowly improving? Has the number of imports reduced?
