So Trump ordered the obliteration of Iranian nuclear sites. This is with the argument that they can't have nuclear weapons. Kier Starmer today "They can't have nuclear weapons".
I understand that Iran probably has bad intentions but my immediate thought is why can the US, the UK, Russia, N Korea etc have nuclear weapons but Iran can't? Serious question.
And my next thought is that this is Iraq all over again. If Iran react, as I am.sure they will, do we join the USA and take part in a war, a similar war that most agree was completely wrong during the Blair years?
Trump has just warned Iran that they will be blown to smithereens, if they don't do what it is told. China are now coming out on the side of Iran and Putin is meeting the Iran leader.

Well my thoughts exactly. I am assuming the West might have intelligence to suggest that Iran has bad intentions to do terrible things with their nuclear arms, potentially to Israel, but again we all remember the intelligence (lies) we had about Iraq having weapons of mass destruction. This will end being another disaster of terrible decisions made when we look back in history if not careful. | |

Plus the Israelis had thousands of Palestine's locked up for no reason and no will to free them. Watch any US show and they'll proudly go on about being Italian, Jewish, Irish, even Dutch. Throw in the Latinos and Hispanics and it's a proper blend of backgrounds. Same with major cities in the UK. Except rather than Italian, Jewish etc., it's various African and middle Eastern nations.
Yet all these middle eastern nations seem to be behind the times. You're muslim, but are you the RIGHT type of muslim? You're jewish, oh we'll just kill you all, we want OUR homeland for OUR people, etc.
I'm sorry, but until all of these middle eastern areas embrace the fact that OTHER CULTURES exist, there will always be problems.

I’m still anticipating Iraq 2.0. Not just in the “Israel says they’re getting / have a nuclear weapon” when U.S. intelligence agencies say no - my view is that Iran was going for a high % Enriched Uranium to scare off Israel et al; From an Iranian viewpoint one sees two things. Firstly, those neighbours who formerly gave up their nuclear enhancements were still invaded (Iraq, Libya, Syria). Secondly, they see an aggressive Israel with a nuclear weapon - the only one in the region. The only way to counter this and stop a ground invasion to topple IRGC would be for them to have a nuclear weapon to deter, and proxies (explaining Hez, Houthi, Ham) to counter even if Iran is invaded. In this case they are protected from regime change from multiple avenues.
But regime change will still be pushed by Israel, despite what they and the U.S. say. Iraq 2.0 is dependent upon how Iran reacts. They could close the Straits of Hormuz, destroying the world economy, but with the oil coming from neighbouring Arab nations like Saudi, no navy, friend or foe, will accept this. But the other option may be just as bad. If they choose to attack U.S. bases, Trump must respond - he’s said he would and he can’t look weak. This would surely take the form of regime change warfare.
I would be surprised if this doesn’t expand further. Even sleeper cells in the West could push into further war and intervention. And with the Israeli’s desiring this war, who’s to say there may not be some false flags here? |  | | |

Looks like Trump's force and aggression has indeed forced a ceasefire between Iran and Israel. Trump seemingly does have a lot of power and influence on leaders across the world.
