After 2 months of near silence, Nourry is slowly showing his hand and I have to say, the pieces appear to be falling into place and revealing a coherent strategy of how to take the club forward.
Having read and watched your article Clive, I like what I see of the new manager. Plenty of passion and desire ( not of the tea cup throwing variety either). It is imperative that all aspects of how the club is run is fully aligned with a common goal and integrated processes. There was (and always has been) conflict at our club between individuals and departments. This needed to change.
The most successful clubs are the best run clubs and we have not been a “well” run club for many years. Nourry, despite all his critics and apparent mistakes, is taking a grip of how QPR will be run and is cleaning house and implementing his vision of how it should be done.
We all loved Marti, but we move on with this new vision of Nourry’s and I for one look forward to it with new found enthusiasm. | | | |

Thanks Clive enjoyed listening to that. Sounds like he is highly rated and fair bit of experience. But not in a league like this. I’m quite positive about Stephan. I like the profile. Like that he adapts his formation, is a detailed person, has overachieved in previous roles. And I’m excited by the prospect of us playing two up top in Frey and Celar/Kelman. Think it could work and draw the best out of the latter two. BUT he needs to have some control and power, not just be here to coach Nourry’s Game Model and have Betsy coach players individually, Bould do the defensive stuff, some bloke do set pieces, Williams tell him who he can play and who he can’t, etc, etc. It would make his role akin to an old “Assistant Manager” and Nourry the old money’s “Manager”. Which is terrifying. Give Stephan the power…

It was just before Sam Field was injured ( we all saw him in a foot slipper)
CN came out and talked to us , didn't give much away, nut he is a big big fan of Morrison and wanted him to have more game time. Hinted at defensive changes in the summer.
Not ground breaking in the know , but I really wanted to share this ... but didn't :)

Morrison is a Nourry signing. Apparently the only reason we got him was Nourry’s links to Bayern. No idea what those connections are. If so, fair enough, great signing. But Nourry has a vested interest in him playing more over Cook. Obviously he should be the long term Cook replacement. But for my money Cook and JCS are still the first choice, and should be! | | | |

Well, because the new Head Coach has it as his preferred formation according to the French football journos. And if he doesn’t play 442, he builds around a 4 man midfield. Is that not interesting given our game model is a 3 man midfield, or so it seems so far at least?
Interesting to hire a HC who doesn’t usually play our game model when our game model is quite universal and his preferred system is quite unusual.
Anyone know the reference to Bretons? “Strong minded”. Interested to see how his relationship with Nourry unfolds.
