Glastonbury 20:41 - Jun 27 with 4140 views | max936 | Anyone watching? I put it on when I got home from the daily slog enjoyed Lewis Capaldi he was excellent, Alanis Morissette was decent as well. Used to think about going, but wading through those crowds to see different acts on the different Stages would pee me off immensily,

Apparently there still are negotiations going on with the BBC, it was one I was looking forward too so I hope it gets sorted out.

Lewis Capaldi was on to early should have been a headliner, he's a decent artist and performer, hell of a voice. Just listened to Biffy Clyro not exactly my thing, but they weren't bad.

Yes I agree can't beat Mr Young. I caught some last night. Two dudes rapping...that was painful. Then some girl with a Sheffield Wednesday badge on and a load of dancing prancing singers... bloody dreadful. The 1975 were polished but just didn't like their songs. Anyway what stage are T Rex on 😂

That's Bluddy simple Togg All CCR songs rarely more than three chord truck but Fogertys voice makes it work All of us old bustards realise we were spokierecall the lines up of the IOW original festivals It's embarrassingly brilliant to read now I feel for kids now It's all about virtue signalling , good causes, being kind , exactly what rock n roll isn't Still Pippa and Tarquin will have something to chat about at the Prep school open day

The one big regret of my life is not going to the IoW in 1970 when I had the chance.

Glastonbury on 10:11 - Jun 28 with 790 views | Dr_Winston | Back in the good/bad (depending on your opinion) days when security firms were less regulated I had a number of offers to go and work at Glastonbury. My mother's other half used to do it every year. Used to come back with a minibus full of confiscated beer. Probably should have done it at least once just for the experience. Would have no interest in going as a spectator. Bit of a cringe fest these days. Too many "Led By Donkeys" fans.

My brother & brother in law done a couple of years "security" in the late 1990's and made a fortune, their job was to patrol the fences on quad bikes, they would let them climb over charge them half price and then deliver there stuff on a trailer later on in the day, also put them in the back of vans and tell them to wear HV's until they got in.

Absolutely. Heard loads of similar stories. Quite a few security boys doubled or tripled their money by helping gatecrashers get in.

He said it was really sketchy back then especially when it got dark and when the headline acts were on people would literally pick your tent up roll it up and cart it off.

Most of the drugs available on site probably came in via security.
