ah yeah thanks for reminding me your pitch! .. well its coming upto the postponement season init!! lol.

i have no interest in getting back to the EFL another couple of promotions will do me but im sure im in the minority, im not keen on your league either too much travel but the national north looks good to me i see us in a few years time levelling off around that level crowds about 3.5k give or take and very sustainable.
Im happy where we at now but another promotion would be nice.

Your right the pitch would need replacing if we were to get back but i wouldnt worry yourself im sure the council would help they are very supportive.
anyway that would be about 10 years from now.

btw, the car park at Gigg is full to the brim every match day

All members of Bury AFC get copies of their club’s finances now don’t they?

If so, could you tell us what the most recent figures are for income on a monthly basis against costs?
Presumably that will give a good indication of how “very sustainable” current and future finances may be.

Without that information to back up an opinion it would be similar to, oh I dunno, saying something like “the finances aren’t that much of a concern as we are winning games and are signing Pope/Clarke/Beckford etc etc”.

Not that anyone would care so little about the future of their club to do that of course.

here's one for you the 1885 suite is currently undergoing a big refurb - kerching!.. danny boyle was in there the other week, i saw him in the old social club pre 2019 it now looks derelict this is the only difference nowadays and the big club shop at the front is now something else.

plenty of posh cars in a full up car park big dave mcnabb drives a porsche he parks it in the managers space! i dont remember the manager sign being their pre 2019 it makes me laugh ! the areas a hive of activity now hustle and bustle of match days i love its like nothing ever happened.

Yes, AFC are much better than the old club at keeping their fans informed. The other question around income and expenses remains unanswered.

To give weight to an opinion that the future could be “very sustainable”.

When you get round to reading them fully of course.

Glad you are happy Rob Shaker. I remember when FC UNited were created as a breakaway club for disenfranchised Man Utd supporters. They were getting gates like yours initially. Now they average about 1200. Not bad for a Northern Premier side - but still hard to be sustainable. Will be interesting to see where your gates go if you have a few seasons without a promotion push.

Yes we need to do better and have always struggled to get to c5,000 fans. The Board know that history is against them, but they also know that the fans we have are very loyal, very supportive and very engaged. Nobody will be pulling wool over our eyes. It will be good for North West Football for you to climb a few leagues. But don't take anything for granted, especially the support. Bragging about support is more akin to the way Bradford city behave - although at least they do have the supporters to back their claims up.

Rochdale AFC - never been in adminstration and have always paid its creditors and suppliers in full for over 100 years.

Didn’t Boris Johnson pay for the pitch with taxpayers money?
And I’m curious as to actually owns the land at Gigg Lane? Is it freehold?
Genuine questions.

What was mentioned on here was how “sustainable” your new club would be. As was a question for some actual figures of how that was going. It would be a bit silly to declare confidence in future “sustainability” without having “fully” digested available information first.

Of note, is there information around matchday revenue and season ticket holder numbers?

Can this be compared to the costs of the playing squad? If so, that would indicate that faith is well placed.

If this can’t be provided to support an argument around sustainability, is it any different to, say, a random football fan celebrating how well their team is doing whilst not being able to specifically point to how that team is being funded?

You know, like some Bury fans couldn’t before their club went to the wall.

… and the playing budget?

See, this is much better. At least it’s actually showing a proper interest in whether things are financially viable with the new club (information AFC seem to have done quite well providing since the start), rather than ignoring it all just because you’re winning promotion.

Stick a few more figures on here and Dale fans may be able to warn of possible future issues. You know, like last time when Bury fans didnt listen and lost their club.

Last sentence not true. In the 1970s the club was known for not paying some of its suppliers in full.
