It will indeed be interesting - this guy is no mug, I have a friend who used to work with him and rates him highly. First he has to build a team - and then he has to get them to play for him. It's not going to be easy. But although this may appear as left-field he is no random pick.
I do think that NL has screwed this up though - it does appear to give a very unfair advantage to those teams playing them early in the season. Having said that, I'd rather see Morecambe survive and there be a little imbalance in the league than to see Morecambe fold. |

The BBC seems to suggest that more games will be postponed as they only have 5 registered players and can't even train as yet. Not sure the National League will be too happy about that - although better that than Morecambe going under and we all lose two games. |

Don't think Morcambe are out of the woods yet. Some monies have been paid, last month's wages possibly. Panjab Warriors need a bit more time to pay all outstanding debts including HMRC. According to "the price of football" this morning they remain under a transfer embargo so I am presuming the two signings they made must have been free agents. They will be able to play Altrincham on Saturday but I suspect it will be a long hard season. Even if you end up in National North next season you would take that over extinction. | | | |

The main issue with Bury was that too many of their supporters had no issues cheering on players on huge wages whilst it was pointed out to them the finances didn’t add up. They were warned it wasn’t sustainable and yet the majority stuck their heads in the sand only taking them out to celebrate promotions on the pitch at Tranmere.
If they’d done more earlier, demanded answers instead of accepting everything they were told, they might still have a club now. They didn’t, so they don’t. | |

ah yeah thanks for reminding me your pitch! .. well its coming upto the postponement season init!! lol.
i have no interest in getting back to the EFL another couple of promotions will do me but im sure im in the minority, im not keen on your league either too much travel but the national north looks good to me i see us in a few years time levelling off around that level crowds about 3.5k give or take and very sustainable.
Im happy where we at now but another promotion would be nice.
Your right the pitch would need replacing if we were to get back but i wouldnt worry yourself im sure the council would help they are very supportive.
anyway that would be about 10 years from now.
btw, the car park at Gigg is full to the brim every match day
