| Morecambe on 19:27 - Aug 20 by Rehsad | It will indeed be interesting - this guy is no mug, I have a friend who used to work with him and rates him highly. First he has to build a team - and then he has to get them to play for him. It's not going to be easy. But although this may appear as left-field he is no random pick. I do think that NL has screwed this up though - it does appear to give a very unfair advantage to those teams playing them early in the season. Having said that, I'd rather see Morecambe survive and there be a little imbalance in the league than to see Morecambe fold. |
They could well issue a points deduction yet. Let's see what happens next. They need to show some consistency with how they treated Southend

| Morecambe on 13:16 - Aug 19 by Dalenet | The BBC seems to suggest that more games will be postponed as they only have 5 registered players and can't even train as yet. Not sure the National League will be too happy about that - although better that than Morecambe going under and we all lose two games. |

| Morecambe on 14:49 - Aug 21 with 4896 views | sxdale | Don't think Morcambe are out of the woods yet. Some monies have been paid, last month's wages possibly. Panjab Warriors need a bit more time to pay all outstanding debts including HMRC. According to "the price of football" this morning they remain under a transfer embargo so I am presuming the two signings they made must have been free agents. They will be able to play Altrincham on Saturday but I suspect it will be a long hard season. Even if you end up in National North next season you would take that over extinction. | | | |

| Morecambe on 15:12 - Aug 23 with 4209 views | EllDale | Fair play to Morecambe. Alty looked good at Spotland but their last couple of results since have been disappointing. I’m sure the crowd helped Morecambe as well, the emotions must have been running high. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Their keeper is as good as I thought he was. Let in poor goals in every game since.

Currently played 13 (as many games as Dale) and have conceded an eye watering 39 goals. Ashvir Singh Johal had more success when he managed Leicester under 12's that much is true. I wonder if the Punjab Warriors still have the same appetite to own a football club after what looks a dogs dinner on the Lancashire Coast.

For once you’re right Rob, they were very different situations. Our trust fought tooth and nail to force out the charlatan who tried to take our club. Didn’t Your trust signed it over, lock stock and barrel ? [Post edited 24 Oct 12:12]

| Morecambe on 13:33 - Oct 24 with 1107 views | 442Dale | The main issue with Bury was that too many of their supporters had no issues cheering on players on huge wages whilst it was pointed out to them the finances didn’t add up. They were warned it wasn’t sustainable and yet the majority stuck their heads in the sand only taking them out to celebrate promotions on the pitch at Tranmere. If they’d done more earlier, demanded answers instead of accepting everything they were told, they might still have a club now. They didn’t, so they don’t. | |

If you'd put as much effort into saving your club, you wouldn't have to come on here now, unsuccessfully trying to justify why the club you supported went out of business Enjoy what you have, and if it happens again, try harder

Due to the angle of the way the club was built some parts of our pitch see very little if all sunshine to dry it out. With the costs of drainage / new pitches and the fact we will never afford undersoil heating it will always be an issue before Rob comes back having a pop.. With their mighty ambitions lol, plastic pitches are not allowed anymore in league football so where would the money come from to replace theirs, more car park leases?

ah yeah thanks for reminding me your pitch! .. well its coming upto the postponement season init!! lol. i have no interest in getting back to the EFL another couple of promotions will do me but im sure im in the minority, im not keen on your league either too much travel but the national north looks good to me i see us in a few years time levelling off around that level crowds about 3.5k give or take and very sustainable. Im happy where we at now but another promotion would be nice. Your right the pitch would need replacing if we were to get back but i wouldnt worry yourself im sure the council would help they are very supportive. anyway that would be about 10 years from now. btw, the car park at Gigg is full to the brim every match day
