Stéphan Era vs Stevenage 11:35 - Jul 5 with 26573 viewsDannyPaddox

Mon premier fil de discussion sur les matchs depuis près de sept ans. Au fait, j'ai un record à cent pour cent.

I would start first half with a strong XI

Nardi
Dunne Morrison Mbengue Vale
Poku Field Varane Chair
Kelman Celar

Second half more Dev Squad + Captain Cook

Walsh
Bennie Adamson Cook Esquerdinha
Smyth Morgan Tuck Dembele
Dillon Sutton

I’d also like to see Colback, Trujillo, and a Triallist ie. something old, something new, something borrowed.

Allez les Superhoops!

Good professional run out first half. Dembélé taking it seriously and looking really good on the right, Chair playing as usual and Vatane is bossing that midfield.
The young pairing of Akindilene at LCB and Esquerdinha at LB looking good too. Not exactly sure where Richards is supposed to be playing though - false 9? Number 10 role?

Shit but local

Encouraging to see a system and passages of play that have clearly been coached in a relatively short period of time.

Also to see players putting the effort in and showing what they can do when they want to turn it on. Progressive passing, good finishing and overall a good team performance.

Kudos to Julien and the team.

Good that the club televised it with the match day comms team too. Professional effort this early on.

Those possessed by devils, try and keep them under control a bit, can't you ?

Promising first half!

Anyone notice Stevenage's trialist right back, a certain Ozzy Kakay?

I was wondering why a couple of our players were hugging 'Stevenage trialist' ahead of kick off!

Can’t really say anything about us defensively because they’re so bad but I liked Morgan and Varane passing forwards out of midfield more, Kelman’s approach play/game has improved considerably since he last played for us. Richards scored but hadn’t done much prior. And is Stevenage’s 22 Trialist actually Osman Kakay?

I think that's a bit harsh on Richards, Clive. He always gave Dembele a passing option, and gave us some nice balance in the attacking third, plus looked to link play consistently.

Didn't try to do anything too flash, but did the simple things well, and, crucially, didn't stop to tie his boots up in the middle of an opposition move...

Did I read they were going to change the lot for the second half and if so, what's the line up?

Cheers fella.

Looking at the new XI, l guess Julien's biggest decision: which team does he want to deploy to win promotion with?

Very noticeable in build up we're trying to play a 3-2 at the back. Adamson moves into midfield alongside Field

It’s truly incredible the level that Kakay’s agent is operating at right now. Truly the Messi of sports agents.
