Depends what your looking for I suppose, he knew how to get points from games but wasn’t always the prettiest football
Gyokeres , eh on 16:32 - Jul 6 with 1389 views | Whiterockin | If Gyorkeres does join Arsenal it will be interesting to see how he does in a proper league. Will he be deemed a failure if Arsenal don't win the title? How will he perform under pressure? It will be interesting for sure.

Nobody rated Gyorkeres when he was with us. We even had one poster categorically stating that they preferred Forest Green Rovers Garrick to both £70M Gyorkeres and regular Welsh international Cullen. Don't let anyone try to tell you differently, it's on here in print.

I rated Gyoreres but he did not play particularly well will Cullen v Stevenage as neither had pace. He had completely the right profile and needed patience. Swansea have shown Cullen incredible patience about 4 year of total anonymity. He s is showing some progress and improving his heading. Cooper actually rated him but was not working for Swansea s long term future. He was working for Cooper s own future which is why he walked. He left a bad legacy for Martin with a washed out centre back on big money.. It did not matter what fans thought. Cooper rated him but base no effort to sign him. Swansea were looking for the Peterborough equivalent of Ivan Toney which did not cut it at Newcastle at 21 or so.

Stevenage v Swansea City : FA Cup 3rd Round : Sat 9th Jan 2021 TEAM NEWS on 17:04 - Jan 9 with 1714 views ReslovenSwan1 I am disapointed Swansea were abolutey no threat on the break in the last 20 mins. No pace from Vic or Cullen. Garrick if moved into the middle would have given them more problems. Cullen Wales U21 Vic Swedish international. I would take Garrick over both of them.
Gyokeres , eh on 17:57 - Jul 6 with 1174 views | Dr_Winston | I didn't see anything like enough of him to form a decent opinion one way or another. If he'd played for the England u17's maybe Cooper would have been more interested in giving him a proper chance.

It does not matter what I think. Cooper said "I think there is a real good player in there" . So why did he not develop him and poo ick him up for £1m like Robbins did? Robbins was committed to Coventry. Cooper was looking for his next gig.

Cooper rated him but chose not to develop him. He saw him everyday in training and knew he had some Covid issues too. He is the expert not me. He should have been signed but was handed over to Coventry Bad bad management. Levien handed him on a plate. Levien it is argued did not do anything right because he is American. Cooper walked away from a potential front two of Gyorkeres and Piroe "because he did not get the backing". He wanted Keinan Davis. who? He sulked.

Have a think about this for a minute. Gyokores didn’t get many opportunities, but when he did, he was awful. Every single time. We finished that season third or fourth, with a drop in form after Christmas. For the period Gyokores was here, we were in and around the top two. No manager on earth is going to jeopardise a very good chance of promotion, to develop another clubs player, regardless of whether he thought we may be able to sign him for £1m. Promotion looked very achievable at the time. Maybe if we’d been in and around mid table (as Coventry were at the time) he’d have had more games.

We are talking about Jamal Lowe here a player who is at the same standards now as he was then. He is free and g has been released twice by Swansea already. Big clubs very rarely release their young prospects cheaply. Cooper made an expensive mistake. Cooper behaviour was poor . He left no leg today and jumped ship once he had cleaned out the parachute money. A few managers have deflected blame to the US owners and fan lapped it up. The new owner are wise to keep well out of the way. Levien and Kaplan tried to engage and realised it was a waste of time. I like Silverstein. He sorted out a stupid Welsh mess. The owners gave £500,000 to the fans group who have no idea what to do with it. Inflation was 10% when the agreed a deal so £50,000+ is already gone in real terms

Read the post again. It was about the here and now, not the future. We had a very good shout at promotion. Jamal Lowe was infinitely superior to Gyokores that season. The fact he’s no better 5 years later is irrelevant. Promotion would have been worth more than Gyokores is now, let alone what we would have sold him for. Surely you understand that? In your own view, Jordan Garrick was better at the time.

Cooper jumped ship because he was let down by the interference of Kaplan and Levian sending him two crocked Americans in Arriola and Morris when we were on the brink of promotion and needing some reinforcment. Thats why Cooper walked and he left Martin with Piroe without whom Martin woukd have been sussed far earlier. Cooper has been the only manager so far since relegation to get us anywhere near getting back to the PL...Im sure he would have enjoyed getting us promoted and then managing us in the PL not looking at us as a stepping stone. Jack 247 talks some sense...and Gyorkes wasnt evdn.our player....It isnt the forst time a manager has discarded a player remebmer Johm Bond allowed a certsin Dean Saunders to leave on a free...who later commanded a £1M fee and also went on to play for Liverpool...hoe we could have done with either thay fee or his skills back then
