Brilliant.
I used to look at Welsh women's football and wonder how they weren't even able to kick a ball properly never mind play the actual game well. But it has come along in leaps and bounds over the last few years as you say WR.
I didn't see any of the England game apart from the goals but in the other two games they did at times look good albeit against teams that are currently much better.
But i'm certain that given time and money Wales Women will become a lot better again. |

It seems to me FAW who are promoting the women's game big time may have taken their eyes off the ball with regards to age group teams .
The u21 were top of the table before Bellamy and Matt Jones messed them about and the FAW finished the job by not registering SIX player Bellamy had a looka t to come back.
The Welsh u21 who had never qualified for the tournament finals slumped from top and unbeaten to three consecutive defeats. They were low priority.. Cotterill and Congreve and Watts.
A lack of friendlies to prepare as well. Neath boy Rubin Colwill was dominating the group but messed about by Matt Jones. [Post edited 16 Jul 18:45]

I disagree - at the top level of the international game women’s football is extremely enjoyable to watch. It reminds me of the days of Stan Bowles and Rodney Marsh, Le Tissier days when individual skill was on display. Nowadays a lot of managers in the
Men’s game send them out not to lose and to play like robots. Thankfully the last women’s euros in particular and WC showed a real sense of individual style. We just can’t put the Welsh women in that bracket as in terms of skill and conditioning they are years behind. | | | |

60 years ago we were not allowed to play football in the majority of Welsh schools. We have moved on as has mens football, qualifying for tournaments and reaching a semi final. The women will follow but it will take time. | | | |
