How far Swansea has fallen ? 20:36 - Jul 25 with 1363 views | trampie | Took a car two days running to Plasmarl for a service and mot last week, so went into Swansea first time for a good few years on the first day, the market had stalls closed, no department store in town and I took an old gold watch for repair and guess what there is no Rolex dealer in Swansea anymore, what is going on, in a city mind you. On the second day I thought I've seen enough of Swansea I will catch a bus down the Mumbles, the tennis courts and bowling green by the front gone, seemed to be building work going on, went for a walk on the coastal path, the pier blocked off, the 'Apple' Bracelet bay falling apart, down to Langland and only two tennis courts there seemed to be in working order, oh and St Helens rugby ground seemed to be a wreck on the way down and what was the pitch and put in Singleton seemed to be overgrown. Everywhere across the UK is struggling but I thought it was a shame that recreational things are going.

How far Swansea has fallen ? on 11:41 - Jul 26 with 361 views | Boundy | I have to say the OP makes it sounds like a scene from Mad Max, I'm no defender of past administrations ,far from it and yes I remember town from the 60's but nothing stays the same ,peoples habits change ,online shopping encouraged, out of town shopping centres built , we're not an affluent society where big employers still exist such as Ford ,Llandarcy the numerous steel works, dare I say coal mining and now Port Talbot all gone along with a myriad of other big company's , moneys' tighter ,habits change and with them the decline of shopping centres . They ain't returning despite the yearning of many to do so ., what we do have is cracking scenery ,lovely beaches but now due to greed pee poor sea but that can change so enjoy what we do have and if you want to spend hours traipsing around shops with the wife then maybe Swansea's not for you but that can also be said of Neath, Llanelli, Carmarthen and hundreds of other towns and cities.

How far Swansea has fallen ? on 13:36 - Jul 26 with 288 views | Togg | I think Mumbles is superb now. Got rid of the old stigma of the Mumbles Miles. Loads of nice places to eat and bars too. A few independents up towards Newton Road if the front isn't your thing. Especially like Harry's Bar.

How far Swansea has fallen ? on 10:46 - Jul 26 by union_jack | It’s Czech and I like it. That’s why I buy it. No good buying lager that I don’t like because it’s British is it? The 4 for £1-40 pasties I agree are delicious and imo strangely nicer cold! |
It's a Czech beer and getting popular over here. It's brewed in this country so it's not as good as you get over there - it's 5% , so has a kick. There are many Czech beers that are better

Department stores are getting rarer everywhere, they are s=hutting down due to the online rise in shopping, again I'd have thought a well informed person would know this because town centres across the Uk have suffered the same problems.

How far Swansea has fallen ? on 11:31 - Jul 26 by Whiterockin | Occasionally when walking along the front, there or the Rose, less so this year unfortunately I've had little time. |
We need a meet you uni and my very good self and we can put the world to rights. Intended to head to Mumbles today, but we took our eldest back to his flat in Cardiff he came home last Saturday to celebrate his Birthday on Wednesday, but is Brother was blue lighted to Morriston Hospital on Monday so he stayed till today, his brother was well enough to come home yesterday thankfully, we sorted the eldest out then called back to the Prince of Wales by Kenfig pool for a few drinks. Mrs had a couple of Latte's and I had a few of Grey Trees ales, John produces some lovely beers, Afghan Pale is my favourite, was hoping that they had Diggers Gold on, but I wasn't lucky, but they had Grey Trees Hop ale on another of his lovely beers.

I may disagree with you on many topics but I do know that you have some taste.

Like me, you understood his initial post intent and you will have also noted his pivot after a few replies and the individual post you are replying to is risible. Trampie being Trampie. DNFTT.

How far Swansea has fallen ? on 07:43 - Jul 27 with 0 views | trampie | My local department store down in West Wales is still going, yet Wales second biggest city Swansea apparently hasn't got one anymore. I wonder if they could open a store in Swansea ?, that might be an idea for them.
