I think this is brilliant business others will complain.

Last season we sold sinclair who would have left this season on a free and we included a sell on fee if that works out.

Now we have sold kelman for a healthy profit who no doubt would have left next season on a free if he had done well.

So well done to the club in that respect for not getting there pants pulled down.

Ohhhhhh bobby zamora

No complaints here but I was hoping for a little more cash. 3 million for Armstrong and then 3.5 million for League 1's top scorer. I guess you have to factor in a drop in League.

Bottom line, we are not going to miss what we never had.

Good luck Charlie, please go and earn those add-ons.

Is that 20% of any transfer as I understand it is with Eze or on the profit.

Not really.

Top half champo teams will no doubt have known he was available but nobody fancied him.

But Charlton are a London club which surely means now we can't compete with them. So basically we have gone from one of the top London clubs to just being above Orient....I think every Rangers fan should be concerned to be fair.

That horse bolted for me watching Brighton Bournemouth etc go from being our pre season warm ups to in a different stratosphere.

Charlton our peer group these days

Its a risky buinsess football.

Its a rosk that we kept him. Hes untried at this level despite tearing it up last year in L1 But that makes it rosky for Charlton.

Woth 1 year to go, i think its better tk get the money now and bring in 2 strikers to get the numbers up, which seems to be the thing we are trying.

Why stop now, just when I'm hating it

Yes. Hope it does not come back to bite us. It must be a gamble for Charlton to pay £3m plus wages which I assume was more than we offered (where do they get that from after 5 years in league one) so they must see something in him which we have not seen or it is a contract problem. I’d like to think he has told the club that he will not sign a new contract.

We're at the same level as Charlton, who for a good few years were a level and two levels above in the 2000s.

Poll: QPR to finish 7th or Brentford to drop out of the top 6?

OK maybe my ambitions are set to high, just little old Rangers after all said and done , punching above our weight and doffing our caps at the likes of Brentford, Fulham, Millwall, Palace, Arsenal, Spurs , Chelsea and now Charlton ....sorry for expecting more...I know my place.

Don't forget that we spent 3 million on a player a year ago.

Great business and teams coming up from league one get a slight benefit re FFP. My thoughts are that even if we finally gave him a guaranteed starting place, he'd run his contract down. Hopefully he has a great season at Charlton, but more realistically he gets 10-12 goals.

Spend wisely Christian, we need some excitement upfront.

Frey was our top scorer last season with EIGHT league goals. I’d bite your hand off for a 12-goal striker this season. I really hope selling Kelman doesn’t come back to haunt us.

Would not the £3m now come under Championship rules.

It feels a bit like a loss but in the end it’s a win. Never would’ve expected £3m and upside this time last year. Just hope it gets invested well.

Also intrigued by the ‘doubts about his future’ about Celar in the wls report. Have we found someone who’ll take him on?

Your right, 10-12 goals would be a very good season and realistically he will get less. I just can't see him repeating last season's numbers.

Wish he had extended for another two years, but its a great deal for both parties.

Sorry but is no one worried that we're selling the top scorer in League 1 to a relegation rival while having zero fit, capable strikers at the club? Unbelievable.

Charlton have apparently got a couple of very wealthy billionaire co-owners so not a surprise they're not just trying to survive this season.
