🔴 Richard Kone Wycombe 19:03 - Jul 30 with 40276 views | KeithHaynes | Reports of interest, fee to high, but Swans reluctant at this stage to match it. Could end up with a staggered payment offer if a bid does go in. Agent driven. News is that hasn’t happened, definitely a decent player, only 22.

🔴 Richard Kone Wycombe on 09:24 - Aug 5 by raynor94 | Norwich have signed a striker from Lincoln who scored 11 goals last season Jovon Makama for £1 million a far more realistic price compared to what Wycombe are asking |
Put 2 past West Brom in pre season friendly for Lincoln - looks a good buy who is only going to get better as he's quite young.

Love reading your reports! Really liked Marauder's report on Glory Nzingo! Very well written. I'm hoping Glory can join the 1st team in January, especially if they need someone who can score a goal. Keep up the good reporting!

To be fair he is their number 1 asset . They are delaying the transfer hoping a leicester come in . Everyone knows how much trouble they are in money wise . They have posted huge losses. Their X fans think that selling a player will go to fund this. But if they continue to play with ffp fire the next step will be an embargo . Agent and tabloid rumours that get blown up by these useful idiots. Rule of thumb this window, has been if you see a rumour with our name involved you know that isn't happening. X is full of the worst kind of people the football accounts there, are just a pure embarrassment to their clubs and fellow fans . Even our online fans there are terrible. The sense of entitlement some of these people have is amazing . Talking about us spending another 5mil on a player in this window is crazy. The owners have done some good work so far. But this might be a 3/4 window job to get us back to where we should be . Lets just keep our fingers crossed that Wilf has spoken to Richard. As there is no better club for him than us he is our number one choice. He is nailed on to be the main man here. If Wycombe want to play hard ball we could always find someone better for the budget we seem to have for a striker. For the first time in years we can rest assured that the club have a A,B,C option to fall back on . Look at the LOB situation. But as I said this is going to be a 3/4 window job before we are fighting for promotion . I hope the club remember the fans who stuck by us through the tough times . As when we are back in the prem it will be hard to get a ticket again . The season under potter we had sold 15k season tickets by this stage of the season. [Post edited 6 Aug 11:17]

Scored the winner for Wycombe at the Swans in last year's Caraboa Cup. I'm guessing a lot of us have seen him play without realising it!

Not buying it personally, maybe they're trying to entice offers with better pay structures all I can think of.

That doesn’t make sense if we’ve got a £4.5m offer still on the table? I’m sure that was in one of the articles here yesterday? I know they may be asking for a different structure, but that’s a huge drop. Is he holding out for Leicester or another club?

No idea but it's on the Sky transfer page, did we really offer £4.5 million? It looks like Leicester now [Post edited 7 Aug 12:30]

🔴 Richard Kone Wycombe on 12:32 - Aug 7 with 1353 views | Dr_Winston | Any bid we've got on the table will be heavily performance based. Doubt we've offered more than about £1.5m-£2m upfront. Wycombe are apparently starting to have some worries which is why they're shifting stance to accept a lower overall fee with more guaranteed money upfront.

I’ve just read the article again and it wasn’t an official bid, just talks around that kind of figure, could potentially have gone higher with addons Says the same as Dr W is saying in the post below yours https://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/swanseacity/news/64527/swans-happy-with-t [Post edited 7 Aug 12:38]

More like it, but still too much. They're desperate to sell to capitalise on his form in first half of last season

He was league one player of the year in fairness. I don’t know much about him and know his goals dropped off dramatically in the second half of the season. It seems about the going rate to me, we paid more than that (heavily staged granted) for Inoussa.

I did say once they think we are in for another forward they would be rattled.

This is exactly whats happened. It is no coincidence this came out almost immediately after the news of us (allegedly) putting in two offers for Jusef came out. Wycombe now moving into damage control mode. A player who wants to move on to a higher league who feels the club are unfairly holding him back after his standout season, he has only one year left on his contract and the club would be lucky to get 1m for him in January if he doesn't hit the ground running. Even 3m would be optimistic now but at least they would be able to reasonably demand a decent sell on fee.

Hope I’m wrong, but I get the feeling he’s not coming here. If we were having discussions, no matter how informal, around the £4.5m mark, they wouldn’t be publicly dropping his price. They’d be negotiating to get more up front, or more guaranteed, or whatever they want of a lower fee. Reducing his price is just going to get more clubs involved.

🔴 Richard Kone Wycombe on 13:37 - Aug 7 with 767 views | bakajack | At this point I am prepared to just walk away. Wycombe played funny buggers last summer and January for Low who they subsequently lost for nothing. And they have been doing the same again with Kone this window. I'm all for clubs trying to get the best deal they can for their players, but there are ways to do it and ways not to do it. AAB with Widell kept negotiations quiet, they provided proof to the club that others had made enquiries and they agreed a buy plus loan back deal. Wycombe by comparison have dragged this through the media trying to attract every Tom, Dick and Harry into taking part in a bidding war and delayed and dithered on the negotiations so much its now moved into the start of the Championship season meaning the player has now been deprived of both pre season conditioning and training time with his new team mates.
