Matty Fernandes Great Attitude 15:18 - Aug 8 with 1507 viewsSouthamptonfan

When the fans sang his name for 40 minutes non-stop, Leicester away, we were spot in. Matty is in the squad Saturday and has said that he wants to play for Saints and give everything he has got. "But he's there. He's confident. He wants to be here." Will Still confirmed. Every time I have watched him play, he gives his all, runs around, gives everything for the team. What a great attitude for such a young player. Look and learn sulky Dibling.

And then you have 3 very arrogant players, who won't be in the squad at all Saturday. With the transfer window still open, Still confirmed that three players won’t feature while their futures remain uncertain.

“A few players are where they’re at in their career in terms of making choices. Tyler [Dibling] won’t be there, Sam [Edozie] won’t be there and Joe Aribo won’t be in the squad either.”

They must think they are so much better than what they are. Compare with Fernandes, who in my opinion is our best player. Humble and modest. Good on him. The others can rot in the reserves or hopefully be sold.

I would make Fernandes captain personally.

You know what, so would I. He is a great example to others.

Greedy agents turning their players heads in their own interest I'd guess?

As said before in early posts, his attitude and work ethic is exemplary.

I can't see us keeping him (but believe in miracles) and I wouldn't really blame him if he left to better himself, after we got relegated. He deserves to be playing at the top level.

If the reset of the team showed as much commitment and effort he puts in, its possible we might not even be in this predicament.

If Dibling is being touted at £40m + we should be asking double that for Fernandes.

where is Aribo exactly going to go? I didn't know he threw his toys out of the pram. Always came across as a nice dude to be fair and played out of position numerous times.

Isaac on strike at Newcastle. 150 grand a week. These players really do live in a parallel universe.

Again after the game, WS confirmed that it was his decision to leave the players out "for the benefit of the team". He also said "The team is always going to be the most important thing and whoever wants to be here and connect with that is more than welcome to do so."

Clear as day, sulky Dibling and arrogant Aribo / Edozie need to have word with themselves. Liking this manager more and more I have to say. Very clear, transparent and honest.

If your ambition is to be at the very pinnacle of the sport, Newcastle is not the place to be, because they will never get there.

If they change PSR rules, which they are bound to as they change all their own rules every few years, then Newcastle can be anything they want.
Financially they are the biggest club in the world by some considerable distance.
The cartel can't keep a closed shop forever.

Remember when that over-rated plonker Kenwyn Jones went on strike at Saints? How thick do you have to be to sign a contract and not at the very least have someone explain to you what it means. I'm not overkeen on NUFC (as they believe their own legend way too much) - although I do like Eddie Howe), but they deserve better than this.

Bloody Liverpool again , playing the oh- so-innocent card when just like us with Van Dyke, they know exactly what they're doing...

As for Fernandes, absolutely Saints should do their utmost to keep him. He's a class act.
