Spot on, great post.

Yes its weirdly quiet 🤔

Btw they didnt have a shot on target, the defence played well, didnt really give them a sniff, the new loan was calm and collected, he seemed to have plenty of time with the ball, it makes the likes of galbraith and franco job easier.

Hopefully this new front man could be the icing on te cake 🤞

I thought back 4 were immense certainty negating the many corners conceded by us.We controlled the majority of the game looking dangerous when we broke at pace .
Disappointed with the attendance of around 15k ,I really thought it would be greater but those that did go would have enjoyed that , I did.

Better 2 nd half ,
Ronald found the barn door, class finish.

Galbraith, outstanding, has ane eye for threading a kiler pass,

stiill early days as one or 2 arent firing on all 4 at the moment

vigs was struggling a few times at corners for those high balls,

as said by somone could have been 4 easily.

Galbraith reminds me of all Grimes's good parts, always available, intercepts and reads the game well. But gives forward at every opportunity.

I said to my lad that Vigs was uncharacteristically dodgy under the high ball today, especially 1st half.

Enjoyed the game today, squad looks stronger than last season, don't think we'll miss O brien too much by the looks of things. Obviously we need a number 9 but think cover at both fullback positions needs addressing. I'm not convinced defensively with Key and Tymon put hell of a shift in today but was running on fumes at the end.

Good 3 points against a team that should still be there or thereabouts but currently seem to be in turmoil. Most players did okay (obviously this is only my opinion) but some not. Early days, time to gel etc is understandable for some but I feel some should be hitting the ground running. Eom still offers little to the team for me. Cullen is totally ineffective. Obviously this is again the fact that we need a striker, which I keep getting told is happening. Key very dodgy defensively today whilst I thought Tymon ran Galbraith for MoM.
Two weeks into the season and a win at home against one of the Championship favourites is good enough for me despite any failings.

He reminded me most of DeGuzman.

Similar kind of box to box, tempo setting midfielder with a good range of passing and a few goals in him.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Agree on galbraith, cullen and tymon but not on key.

He had one of his better games for us today, he was defensive sound especially in the second half.

Good result. I agree with a lot of the earlier comments, Our team is indeed "work in progress" and will take a bit of time to settle, but showed promise in the performances of Galbraith and the central defence, And yes, we need another striker.

Yalcouye was great. Ran twice the distance of anyone else on the pitch.

Widell looks a class act. Definitely Bergkamp type qualities.

Would have been nice to see more of Wales than a time wasting exercise in the last few seconds.

Only negative seems to be the new home kit. Seemed to be a lot more away shirts purchased by the fans from where I was sitting. Police type patterns/ markings really are not a good look.

Regarding the home kit , I missed the announcement but I believe today supporters were sked to wear retro shirts for todays game , a load around by me so maybe that's what you had seen,

Loved to see Widell pumping his fist towards Tymon in the last minute, when Tymon made a good recovery tackle by the corner flag in front of the East bank. Great to see.

When you think back to the worst moments of Martin and William’s campaigns - the team spirit was non existent. Great to hear this can’t wait to be there for the Watford game

Oddly quiet match day thread. We must have won.

Good battle. Went off the boil after the first half water break and we still dally a little too much in possession, but we were good value for the win overall. Can't think of any serious save Vigs had to make whilst we had 3/4 good chances.

The more the players get used to each other hopefully the slicker they'll become. Already you can tell that Widell and Inoussa have an understanding.

Ronald is also acting in unison with Inoussa to look a very threatening duo on the break.

Good post that, only disappoint for me, not that you can be disappointed with a win against a side we haven't beaten for years since we beat them 3-0 in the cup and at their place iirc was that Cullen stayed on for so long when Wales should have been given a run out after his goal in the week.

I read we will play a high fast pressing game
Sorry
Blades are huge and will simply cripple our players
Like they did last year
10 stone against 26 stone is like light welter v cruiserweight

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Where have you been today?

Mistakes will be made, Key made a mistake or two and struggled against the winger but the team made sure his mistakes were not costly, as for Key's defendering which was questionable in the first half, he dealt with the long cross field ball aerially quite well it has taken him some time to do the defensive work properly but in a properly functioning team he may be more confident in what is required , I still think his understanding with Ronald is poor but when it clicks both defence and attack should benefit.
As for Ronald he has put away two goals percentage wise his stats could be higher but both his goals has put the team ahead as needed.

I thought that was totally unfair by the club. I put on my black 04/05 away top to come down. By the time I'd got down the stairs I couldn't breathe. Anything bought pre-18 seems to have shrunk in the wash 😁

Yes the defence helped key out in the first half but isn't that their job? To help each other out.

Galbraith, franco and yalcouye are very good at defending and this new fella from forest is a defensive midfielder so it looks on the defensive side, yes key isnt te best FB at defending but with these 4 helping out it gives key more chance to get forward.

Re ronald, I thought he looks far more confident going forward, especially today, let's hope he can keep it up.
