In 20 odd years I don't think I've ever started one of these.
I'm thinking (hoping) we will go with a three man midfield this weekend, with Morgan, Field and Varane. Coventry scored five last weekend! We can't afford to concede too early, and will need to score first to get anything out of it IMO. An early Coventry goal, supporters getting aggy... gulp.
We all want a box-to-box no. 8, but these players are high value and not easy to sign on the cheap. He's young, and a bit slight, but I wonder if we need to start thinking about cultivating Morgan in this role as a long term solution? We know he can get stuck in, he's got bags of energy, and popped up with an absolute thunder-bastard last weekend.
Poku being out actually makes this an easier decision to make, because we can play Chair and Dembele either side of Burrell (or Kone if fit) without agonizing over who gets left out.
Presumably Dunne returns at RB, Esquardinho returns at LB, and Morrison and Mbengue start at CB.

I was there today. It was an utter embarrassment. Stephan is not picking that side. We have to get away from this obsession of every player only playing to make money for the club. We are an utter shambles. The gk is not good enough. The back line is appalling and the midfield is equally as bad. We need some serious work in the transfer window. I hate to get upset over a QPR result, because we've been hurt so many times in the last 20 years, but what gets me upset about the Cov loss is our defending.
The last two seasons and a half we've survived, in this league, by the skin of our teeth, by good defending.
Where was the defending today?
It was upsetting.
IMHO, Cook needs to be benched with M & M our CB pairing.
Stop piss balling from the back and become a proper defensive unit like we have been.
That first goal we conceded is a carbon copy of of the first goal we conceded against Watford.
I slapped my forehead as the ball went into the back of the net.

I went to the Ipswich v Southampton game last Sunday and both teams were playing out from the back.Neither of them looked comfortable doing it either,and they were in the premier league last season.
