In 20 odd years I don't think I've ever started one of these.
I'm thinking (hoping) we will go with a three man midfield this weekend, with Morgan, Field and Varane. Coventry scored five last weekend! We can't afford to concede too early, and will need to score first to get anything out of it IMO. An early Coventry goal, supporters getting aggy... gulp.
We all want a box-to-box no. 8, but these players are high value and not easy to sign on the cheap. He's young, and a bit slight, but I wonder if we need to start thinking about cultivating Morgan in this role as a long term solution? We know he can get stuck in, he's got bags of energy, and popped up with an absolute thunder-bastard last weekend.
Poku being out actually makes this an easier decision to make, because we can play Chair and Dembele either side of Burrell (or Kone if fit) without agonizing over who gets left out.
Presumably Dunne returns at RB, Esquardinho returns at LB, and Morrison and Mbengue start at CB.

-dembele, god awful
-morgan- really rate him, but he had a terrible game
-why did mbgengue not start?
-all the problems really stemmed from our insistence on passing out the back.... --walsh is clearly not comfortable on the ball and it resulted in us losing the ball in the wrong part of the pitch way too many times.... if we want to play this way, then fine- but walsh is not the keeper to be playing

So, our clueless absentee owners appointed a 26 year old with zero background in football as CEO and DOF. The know nothing 26 year old lucks out with a manager who keeps a horrific looking squad in the Championship for the last two seasons and then fires him for some made up BS. Leicester immediately pick up the manager who was deemed not good enough for us. The 26 year old then appoints a Frenchman with zero experience of English football, Julien Stephan, who quickly shows he is totally out of his depth. How does this story end? Varane, Field and Morgan had 6 tackles or interceptions between them.
We were passive exactly as we were last season at the start under cifuentes.
The entire right side Dunne, Morgan Dembele was totally dysfunctional all our issues stemmed from not competing in the middle and how poor those three were on and off the ball first half and having no out ball (could not understand why we were not at least trying to hit Kolli)
Only positive was Kone who looks up to this level in a way I dont think Burrell is. |  | | |

Unfortunately i don’t doubt he won’t. Probably in his head this is our fault for not backing the team well enough after the first few goals. This obsession with a long term project, with development, missing the basics like fcking match fitness, never his fault, always someone elses.
