Where in the world? Non QPR 07:26 - Aug 22 with 3356 views | oldmeadoniansR | It is always a lift to here from QPR fans from around the world. And recently I have been thinking about whether I will stay living in this house and this area for the foreseeable future. As such can you record the area you live in and what you like about it. In the interests of positivity three positives one negative. Start with the negative. Hampton:London:England Dislike: In over 10 years not found a pub that I particularly like. LLike: Access to great open spaces (Bushyy Park, Richmond, River Thames. Safe place to bring up children. Close to M3 so can get out of London quickly.
Where in the world? Non QPR on 08:13 - Aug 22 with 2332 views | SydneyRs | Oyster Bay:Sydney:Australia Negative? Maybe that it doesn't have its own train station or pub. Like: Very peaceful, feels like you're a long way from the city but can be at work in the city centre within 45 mins. Friendly and down to earth neighbourhood. Parking is easy (a novelty in Sydney). Hilly streets make for challenging but enjoyable runs. While quiet and peaceful, the airport, a huge Westfield, fast trains to city, Cronulla beach, some decent pubs and great coffee places are not too far away.
Where in the world? Non QPR on 10:38 - Aug 22 with 2129 views | BrianMcCarthy | Cork City: One Negative: Travel to other Countries is difficult and expensive. Three Positives: Friendly people, hardly any crime, close to West Cork.

Where in the world? Non QPR on 10:56 - Aug 22 with 2067 views | ted_hendrix | Wantage, Oxfordshire. Purchased a brand new detached four bed house on a small private development of about 60 or so houses right next door to Wantage cricket club, Likes fantastic neighbours who were putting notes through the letterbox offering to help with shopping or whatever during Covid, also when I fell over and ended up In hospital with a smashed up Knee, they were knocking on the door offering help to the Missus If needed. Great area for the countryside If you like that sort of thing which we do, good road links to the M4, M40 and the great North road otherwise known as the A34. Not to everyone's taste but every now and then you can smell the countryside when the farmland has been fertilised, ten minute walk Into town, usual supermarkets, bus stop handy and plenty of buses running, plenty of cycle paths being constructed by the developers. Dislikes. None.

My best mate lives right in the centre, behind the shops by Kwik Fit - lovely place to live. I was there last Friday.

Didn't have a clue about the place when we moved in, and then once we had kids etc, we found it was a great place to raise your kids, with great schools. Lovely community feel to it too. Surrounded by woodland, lakes, and a nice high street. I love it.

Where in the world? Non QPR on 11:46 - Aug 22 with 1915 views | hamptonhillhoop | I've lived here since 2001 and still wouldn't say I've found a good local. Mainly use the Roebuck and The Star (decent garden) or if I fancy a walk, the Bell or Jolly Coopers. Never the World's End, feels like a Chelsea pub! | | | | Login to get fewer ads

It is one reason why I joined Hampton Hill Cricket club. Have a pint sometimes during but mostly after playing, watching the deer amble by. Pubs in Sunbury look nice.

I was born in Hampton and lived there from the age of 0 to 21. It was quite a nice place to grow up with, as you say nice parks, both natural or with play space and it was quite safe. But now I would find it too staid. My brother has lived there all his life (64 years) and goes to those pubs that you mention. Anyway, in answer to your question: In between Earlsfield and Tooting in SW London: Negative: Difficult to meet like-minded single people Positives: Quite good access to Central London, Tooting has everything you need, 3 big parks within 12 minutes jogging

Brings back memories of playing against Hampton Hill nearly forty years ago. Having to stop play because of deer wandering on to the outfield was something I’ve never encountered before or since!

Where in the world? Non QPR on 15:46 - Aug 22 with 1498 views | ScubaHoop | Cane Garden Bay Tortola BVI until 2 months ago now Scottish Borders. Lived on the island from 2009 spreading the QPR gospel to an ungrateful congregation. Plus sides, it was endless summer, the safest place in the world for kids as long as they could swim. Amazing community and lifestyle. Down sides. Can get boring, especially for the kids as they got older. Missing family and QPR games. You'll find more culture in a yoghurt than there. Food is poor and cost a fortune. And in 2017 Hurricane Irma blew my home down around ears. Scottish borders are lovely. Plus sides, scenery, super friendly village life, decent pints. Downsides. Winter is coming, as Sean Bean says.

We live about 3 miles from the town centre and thankfully just 5 miles from St Albans . Great pubs and restaurants. We’ve got good neighbours and live in a quiet estate. Great transport links from Watford and a 35 minute drive into central London for my work . Can’t knock it. Moving to South west France when I retire whether she likes it or not . I’ll eventually get round her.

You don't have to be a raving lunatic to live in Crowthorne, but it helps. A brother of mine lived in the town, he enjoyed the area, as did I when I visited. I also enjoy solid brickwork and there's not much better than the walls surrounding some of Britain's best known celebrity nutters. [Post edited 22 Aug 20:27]

Very safe, has a beach, people generally keep themselves to themselves, 96% of the city is Spanish, which in these heady political times is actually a good thing for me as it corresponds with my first point very safe. Negatives. Work is hard, making ends meet is hard and Spanish beurocracy and tax laws is insane and very Orwellian.... they have a gift tax for f sakes... parents can't send me money or I have to declare it and the state takes a cut.
