If you hand the keys of a football club to a kid with zero relevant experience, why on earth would you expect it to go well?

No sane business person would make that call. But our beloved QPR have. There is no logic here. It is pure madness. The owners have ballsed this up to a level not seen before at Rangers - and that is really saying something. What we are seeing play out before us was predictable. Lamentable. Shameful. Embarrassing.

When will it end? It would be great not to be a laughing stock, even if just for a short while.

Not saying you might not have a point but there are plenty of existing threads this could have been posted on. Did it really need a new thread?

maybe, maybe not. Perhaps we don't all understand the rules or etiquette of fan websites. If there's a handy pocket guide somewhere please point me in that direction.

The current Chairman AND majority owner of Sunderland was 23 when he took over the reigns at Sunderland. He's 27 now. They don't seem to have done too bad in the meantime. I'm not sure their fans are crying about his age at the moment. We may just need to be patient?

When I was 21, I was amazed at what he'd learned.

I do think with Nourry it's still too early to tell. There are a lot of signs it's going to go wrong and some really weird stuff going on but he's also done some good things since coming in as well

I don't think he's quite the genius some paint him as but equally not the disaster others are suggesting. He's just a bit meh for me so far

I have been a bit up and down with Nourry.

Like Dave says some of what he has achieved so far has been decent.

However rigid adherence to the model has meant some decisions have been odd. And there most definitely have been mistakes too.

I feel his personality type does not endear him to certain elements within our fans, and can understand most of the concerns, but although I potentially have had issues with some of what he has done thus far, his age isn't the issue for me.

He is clearly an ambitious but also very hard working studious type and he clearly wants to succeed and is attempting to do so in the way he believes we can.

I changed a little with my opinions about him when listening to him speak at the fans forum. However some of the club structures do seem to give him a massive amount of power within the club in all areas.

And although it is a big risk, allowing him such freedom to implement all his ideas, our owners are no mugs, so I guess let's see where this season takes us.

Ups, downs and roundabouts though, most definitely.....

Yale graduate, Theo Epstein was 29 when he took over as General Manager of the Red Sox. Won the World Series and beat the Yankees two years later. Give the guy a chance. It's not like the club was well run in the previous 25 years!

We get beat 7 -1 and get in a few players and Nourry is the best thing since slice bread! I knew this would happen , our bar is so low now and some of our fans are so easily pleased.

Completely agree with this, I worked in a corporate setting for years and met several CEO’s around his age and most were very successful. That’s not to say, everyone thought they were.
Nourry is a Numbers, figures, data and statistics man. He is implementing a plan that he believes will make the club sustainable and successful. Whilst doing that, he’s retaining as much control as he can over the project and the information relating to it from the fanbase and everyone else?
I’m neither a lover or a hater of the man, nor do I really understand what he’s doing.
It’s yet to be proven if this really has been a great transfer window or not, but a few of the players we signed, were wanted by quite a few of our rivals and they all seemed to like the “Project”. So I’m willing to get behind them and “Bloody well hope there right” URsss

I know it's a common issue for many, but his age shouldn't be. If you're good enough, you are old enough. His background fitted the job description.

Not everything he has done is bad. In fact, there have been many good things. The principle of the "project" is the right one. The complete overhall of the squad was needed. Persoanlly i like a data led approach, heck i use it at work myself!

Mistakes have been made, some of them have been learned from. And the club is hamstrung by FFP. We simply dont generate enough money to compete unless we buy low and sell high. no new owner or CEO is going to change that in a hurry.

I think the communciation strayegy is mistake which needs rectifying.

But to me, the biggest mistake, however. was the fall out with Marti. I suspect it will be a while before the full facts come out, and we really KNOW (not speculate) on exaclty what happened rather thanThe general assumption around players and styles (i dont buy the new narrative that Nourry is picking the team or telling Stephan who to pick). It was a huge risk to dump Marti. So far, the results with Stephan have not been good enough (understatement). And the decision looks worse and worse with every defeat.

The injuries arent Nourry's fault. They may or may not be William's fault. We dont know for sure, again its only speculation IMO, although it is with increasing circumstantial evidence.

If we do get relagted, it will be on Nourry's head though.

Don’t think the club has ever been well run since the days of the Fulham supporter.

I feel the problem is Nourry has too much control over the wrong areas. The club leadership structure is al wrong. He should be in charge of what he’s shown himself to have some ability in. He has done pretty well selling and buying. Poku, Kone came here which surprised a lot of people. So he can haggle and do business. However it appears he has too much say over the playing side of things. The football people need more freedom to do the football without him putting pressure on them to fulfill the projects objectives immediately.
The comms thing rubs people up the wrong way too and is counterproductive to the club.
Use CN in the areas he has a talent and reduce his influence on the areas that he knows bugger all about. The club should find a better balance in this regard. That’s a Board thing I suppose and I’m not sure they have much of a clue
