They played him as a defensive midfielder, didn’t they?
They’re a really poor side though, so standing out there wouldn’t be a huge achievement.
He looks really painfully slow to me, only marginally quicker than Vestergaard, so defensive midfield may be his best position. |  |

We've got six centre backs including Charlie Taylor so something has to give, I guess. Quashie and Stephens are nailed on. THB has no suitors so he will stay. Wood has done the best so far so Edwards would be the one to go on loan. However, like others posters I'd like to see him tried as a defensive midfielder alternating with Downes if Charles is playing further forward as seems the preference. Whatever happens we need to establish a first choice centre back partnership and commit to it not the endless three at the back rotation. | | | |
