Blackburn away 00:40 - Oct 2 with 1252 views | Southamptonfan | The news is that if needed, there is an allocation of 7000 tickets. Any appetite for fans to go to this and have a massive following up there? It's so expensive. The trains are about £120 each rising by the day. Coaches nearly £50 each. If your just paying for yourself it's doable, but if you go with family, it's so expensive. Family of 4 and it's £200 on the coach before even buying the tickets. If only there was a cheaper way to do it, more would go. You can drive, but it's a long tiring drive. Also, if it was near the end of the season, and it was crucial even more would go. Love the away games, went to Sheffield the other night, but it's so expensive. [Post edited 2 Oct 0:44]

Blackburn away on 10:15 - Oct 2 with 1003 views | sledger | why cant the club pay for the away coaches like stoke city do,all that goodwill with the fans against a minimal expenditure for the club.Adding £10-£15 to the season ticket price would cover most of it if the club dont want to be out of pocket
Blackburn away on 10:59 - Oct 2 with 963 views | MytchettSaint | Was looking at going to this one with my eldest. I haven’t been there for 30 odd years, checked the train fares a week or so ago. Return on the same day(for 2 of us) was £289. I am going to head to Ireland to visit my youngest son instead now.

My last time there was the cup run of 84 on a Friday night as well as it being live on tv, a bit of a rarity in those days! But we win and then drove back home after the game- I was a lot younger then

But why should there be a need to add to the cost of an ST? In the scheme of things a few coaches (well quite a few) should not make that much difference to the club for a one off occasion to get fantastic support to a sh1t hole place to go

I have got the train fare down to £75.95 with a Veterans railcard. Soton 7:15 Change Wolverhampton, then train to Preston then to Blackburn arriving 12:50 Back 18:18 via Bolton and Manchester A bit of a teck!!! There is a cheaper fare £63.95 leaving at 6:15 not getting back to Soton 1:40 Sunday!!!

Blackburn away on 18:25 - Oct 2 with 643 views | 1ASIN12 | It seems since covid every thing has gone up, but the cost of coaches ( especially by the club who should run them to break even or even at a small loss) have rocketed. £46 or £48 if you are not a season ticket holder is a lot of money, especially for families. I know there are a couple of other coach providers and I’ve no issue with them making a bit on each coach ( after all they go out of their way to run them) but the club ones should be cheaper. Saints aren’t the only club to what would seam to be more money making schemes from the supporters. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Cos it eats into funds and fans weren’t happy with the repricing following the Northam wall creation. Don’t forget that the club have just invested in the Level 1 zone as well. We need to cut our cloth…… [Post edited 2 Oct 18:40]

Exactly. Half price coach tickets at the very least, would make things a lot more affordable. But they don't care about their suppprters. It's all money, money, money with this lot and how much they can get from us. As you say Stoke offer free travel to every away game.

The railways are coming back under public ownership and this is expected to be completed in 2027. Shame there arent any plans for Football specials.
