If am at games, i generally dont read match threads until after the match. When am at home, i do tend to read them and occasionally comment on them during the game. However, reading them back afterwards, its a cross between an x rated horror movie and occasionally a cinderella fairy story appears.

Mainly though, it shows how fricking weird we all are and within minutes we go from one of the worst teams ever to grace planet earth and two goals later, we all are heading for the play offs as an outside bet. I particularly enjoy reading them after a comeback win. The phoenix rises from the ashes !!!

Little things...

But never fails to amuse me...

i would think also most fans forums match threads could be like this, but i reckon as totally nuts posting on such threads, am certain we keep QPR up there with the maddest of the mad !!!

When a goal is scored, the need for people to post it and, since everyone has different streams and connections, means you get half a dozen in the space of a minute or so.

I know we've scored.

I'm watching.

It's always noisiest at the shallow end

The other team's threads for games we win are always enjoyable.

It's very rare to see acknowledgement for us and you get a good insight into the other team's obsessions of why they lost (players, management, owners, whatever).

Remember back into the Warnock season reading pages and pages of how sh*t and lucky we were all season long

I don't know if many teams get this but we get a lot of, 'how did we lose to that lot, they're crap', on other teams' fan sites.

To be fair, thats probably also true of some of the comments on this site for 90% of the teams we lose to!

The lesso for everyone here is that this is the Championship and guess what - everyone is crap. Most games can go any of the three ways and are about being less crap than the oppo.

Yes, there is quality there, but the difference with the top league is that it is not the "norm".

The biggest travesty over the last ten years or so is that we have managed to be even worse than many average looking teams that have gone up purely to squad size and money.

So, yes, everyone thinks everyone else is crap and they are generally right...

Can we go out yet?

All very true but what other sport is capable of stirring such extreme emotions, ups and downs that can change the mood literally within seconds.

Best sport in the world by a million miles.

A game that is changed by moments.

ie goals, which most other sports there are many many moments that count or create a score.

I think we genuinely have some unique characters here.

I'd like to think I could have a beer and laugh at similar things with a few of you guys.

To be fair if you want to read the match thread when you’re at the game it must be a terrible match!

Also you'd have to be careful in case the match thread was a few seconds ahead of the game and you find out someone's scored.

Reminds me of being at the Etihad for the end of season "Ageuro!" game. I was listening to the Stoke v Bolton game on one headphone via radio on my phone, and bizarrely, just before Walters took the penalty that ultimately kept us up, the commentator of that game said that Man City had scored when they hadn't. It totally threw me, like I'd somehow managed to miss a goal in a game I was watching live in some of the most stressful circumstances imaginable

Yeah, I love having a look at oppo boards when we win.

They usually have a similar mix of positive/negative/neutral-type opinions we get here before and during the game.

Then, at the point of the winning (QPR) goal, pages and pages of misery, self-doubt and recrimination.

It's great. Really cheers me up.

I do wait until final whistle before eviscerating the performance and calling for manager's head. Does make me laugh when some posters go early, say half-time, with their tirades and we come back in second half and end up drawing or even winning.
