Appreciate also was an international week, hence why Burrell and Saito were on the bench. Yes, we have been on a very decent run, but announcing all three available for selection and not one of them, even on the bench. Who are the club misleading exactly. I did expect, at least one of the three to be on the bench. If it was to mislead Millwall, it was unsuccessful. Almost like the club are saying this one is on JS. There is clearly some kind of deception with announcements still which I find strange as its completely unnecessary currently IMHO.
JCS - I doubt would have been selected anyhow, but more likely to be on the bench if Morrison is out injured against Swansea.
Chair - In hindsight would have been the perfect sub for this game, as to how the game was played out.
Poku - also would have been interesting for the last fifteen minutes.
I would say if they are indeed actually available for selection, myself personally would have all three on the bench at Swansea. Morgan, Morrison and Frey would be who they could replace for me. If, not one of them, is to be seen against Swansea, you would have to question that the club is putting out squad news that is actually a lie - misleading at the very least. In fairness to the club, we have wanted updates and now we get them.
We saw the training videos and they are all back playing and are fit, so ready for selection. Being fit and match fit are different things tho. We have a squad with more depth than I can recall in over a decade, so who would you drop given the international games meant some of the starters were dropped to the bench.
Would you also want to rush them back given the form we were in? If Poku and Chair were on the bench it would mean Saito, Burrell, Morgan, Kolli or Dembele dropping out. These are players that have been putting in a shift this season and not always got a chance to play much- Kolli & Morgan for example. Perhaps the man management is far better to keep the players who have been doing so well, playing and get the guys fully fit back in slowly once they’ve had a decent number of training session and a few development games??? I get sarcasm but the written word is sometimes read literally. Seemed written as if it was your opinion. No worries.
But yes as to other post about the club giving us information now, well not if its totally made up cr*p. F*ck that as a new strategy !! Not when they give up opportunities to get points on the board and Dembele, has been poor generally so far and definitely think Morgan and Kolli could be under threat of being replaced in the squad.
We saw the three returning cavaliers run onto the training pitch. Misleading on a consistent basis.

I am just taking comfort in the fact that we don't really miss the injured players, we have enough depth. Chair and Poku coming back will now be like 2 new signings, Poku is a new signing and one of our 'big' summer signings, and Chair is our big name player probably, and we have been doing quite well without them, which is nice. I would imagine they both could do with a game for the reserves to get some match fitness into them, and the fact they don't need to be rushed back for the first game of a 3 game week, I would see as a good thing long term. |  | | |

I’ll spell it out for you. Training on the grass does not mean you are fully fit. It’s a key part of any injury rehabilitation. And when the club said Poku would be back after the international break for Wrexham they knew full well that wasn’t true. All the players knew that wasn’t true, and it didn’t happen.
Poku was understood to be out for 3 months from that hammy injury against Preston. That would take him to 9th Nov. The club said he’d be available for 13th Sept. He wasn’t.

The bottom line is that JCS has had a very difficult injury to recover from, Chair seemingly is having problems recovering from his last few issues and Poku's hamstring issue was so bad before he even arrived here that it was probably dating one of Chris Willock's.
The point is regardless of the defeat today the bench is very strong. The best bench we've had in years. Bring any of these players back even one game too soon and they could be out for the rest of the season.
I have no problem having any of the three back but only when there is some level of confidence that they're not going to break down again within a few matches... or even one! |  |

I want him back as soon as possible. My whole point is that when the club said he’d be back after that International break, they knew that he wouldn’t be. I don’t know why they did that. And I don’t like it. But others inside the club knew he wouldn’t be back and was out for longer.

I hate to be negative but if JCS only lasted 11 minutes after being out most of this calender year he might never actually play for us again.Another layoff is seriously going to threaten his career not just with us but overall which would be very sad IMO.

Predicting when a player is expected to be back from a medium to long term injury is never an exact science. It is ridiculous to be making any fuss about any variation from the forecast.
