I can still see him dancing around Mike Hooper and slotting it home and I love watching this grainy footage at 10:17 and seeing myself and my motley crew from the mini bus I ran that day up on the seats bottom right hand'ish of screen as it zooms out. Wedge cuts de riguer

Fell out of favour under Gerry Francis. Not really his type of player.
Bizarrely, given he had more than a smattering of vintage 1970s Stan in him, and was as skilful. You have to wonder if there was a bit of envy there. Gerry apparently preferred the terrible Rob Steiner later on and did fall out with one or two players if memory serves.
