a must must win....

i'm going for 1-0, i think thats all the goals we'll have in us, even against cardiff.
a good solid defensive display should do the job.

if i'm wrong, i'll eat my crook.

Talk about "spin", what's more embarassing is you putting your ususal conspiracy theorist's negative interpretation on the manager's words, which I would respectfully suggest tell us more about your particular state of mind than anything else.

Paul Morrison asked Marti what he saw Cardiff's strengths and dangers as being, and he gave, as he always does, a precise and technical analysis.

I'm sure most of us would be more concerned if he came out with some Redknapp-type bollox along the lines that you're suggesting.

Thanks for your 'respectful bollocks' - just on the level of language, do you never even feel a smidgen of embarrassment about your risible hypocrisy and malicious scapegoating?

But, yes, you're right, let's get behind the manager talking Cardiff up, go on crassly mistaking critical thinking for conspiracy thinking, and keep promoting the QPR cult that way. It'll definitely see off relegation.

The bad news being presumably that he’s started Andersen again.
Hope for our sake it works but I would have preferred to see a midfielder who can actually run instead.

I don't take a lot of notice of what managers/coaches say pre-match.
They're damned if they do and durned if they don't to quote an old country song.

It looks like the players don't either, given what Marti said he said pre-Stoke and what transpired. (Unless what he actually told them to do was stick a couple of fingers up at the fans by fannying around for 75 minutes, in which case they executed his cunning plan to a tee.)

Yes, more good than bad but unless Andersen has had stem cell treatments, I would expect we will see the same issues as last week.

Happy with that team in the circumstances (very much assuming Andersen is playing in the middle of course)

So Marti rates/trusts Andersen over our spluttering Wunderkind Dembele on current form, apparently - in the words of Barry Davies, 'interesting, very interesting' (though not in a good way, I fear). The over-rated/under-performing Varane also dropped from the starting line-up. Field should at least help gird the team's loins and has even been known to pop up in the oppo's box with a goal. Yang has ability, I think, but plenty to prove - let's hope he turns up with a bit of magic!

1-1, and I guess we'll have to take it.

Field back and Morrison starting are two big pluses for me.

I assume Varane will sub Field at some stage.

Surprised to see Paal back but I hope he gets some form of support on the left.

I’d have Yang on the bench but If he can become goal positive rather than goal neutral, then fair enough. Today would be a good day to do so and I’ll even buy one of his shirts if he wins us the game.

Just don’t come inside (oo-er) in our half again, please….

That looks about as good as we can manage at the moment. Not prentending it's anybody's first choice but there are some positives: a striker up front, Field back in the centre, Morrison on from the start and Paal recovered in time for us to avoid seeing Ashby or Fox at left back.

Like I say, not perfect but the best we can do as it stands. Nice to see Sutton get a place on the bench too.

At least there's some pace and attitude up front in Smyth and Lloyd and some steel and effort in the middle in the shape of Field.

I wouldn't say I'm anywhere near confident but that starting eleven looks much stronger than the one we had against Stoke.

Right, back to my prayer mat...

"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."
