That's mad. No wonder there's more empty seats than fans at the game tonight

The win against us looks a complete anomaly.
Or are they really that far above anything we can hope for?

Southampton have gone through two managers since Leicester last scored at home apparently.

So pleased we rested our lot for the run in up there.

Yes thank god we rested them - and now as a result everyone is fit and firing for the crucial run in. Hurrah!

And they lose to nil. Not sure if this stat is in PL history, Div 1 history or all league history, but for one of these they are the first ever team to lose 8 consecutive home games without scoring a goal.

How very Rangers that in amongst this history-making run....we let in six. :-)

Well at least we didn't let ourselves down in the scoring stakes - we are right up there with City

Also, absolutely hilarious !!!

Shows how truly crap we can be !!!

And, we scored two brilliant goals, that day.
Fantastic strike by Varane and poachers instinct by Kolli...

Not a single goal in 720 minutes against other teams, one roughly every 15 minutes against us.

Yes, in hindsight, resting players that day looks a bit ridiculous.
I understand why we did it and agreed with it at the time.
But we can see that they were there for the taking . It goes back to previous conversations about the culture of the club and inside the club. It needs to change and has done for a very long time.

I will say that have got worse and worse over that period and on the flip side you could say that if we didn’t rest a few that day then our injury crisis could have been even worse (was this JCS last game ? Can’t remember)
But it just feels a bit embarrassing…..again.

I still can't stretch to the idea that we were just a Dunne and Field away from overturning a minus 4 goal deficit against a Premier League team.
If I remember rightly some posters were complaining we were playing a weakened defence because Ronnie was starting!!

Van Nistelrooy playing a strong side in the cup only to win 1 in his next 15 matches in the league anyway, bloody clown.

Leiceste are asbolutely terrible, but they walked the Championship. the gap is so huge between Premier League and Champ it's unfathomable - the only way for the current established PL sides to go down now seems to be a complete and total meltdown.

An established PL team will never be relegated ever again. Football in this country needs the main 5 or 6 to fcuk off ASAP into a European league more now than ever. I'm largely done with football until that happens.

no hindsight needed, looked bad at the time and even worse now, complete losers mentality at the club that losing some games doesn't matter and that feeds into the culture at the club and leads to these long runs without a win

It's only 2 years since Forest and Bournemouth went up and they have done well, Brentford and Fulham as well.

I think if Leeds do manage to get over the line this year they'll push the boat out and stay up next year

The Fog & The Urine was the working title of a Vin Diesel movie before the studio went with The Fast & The Furious.

Okay we’re having a laugh here but if you do find yourself peeing fog consult a GP immediately.

37 year old Jamie Vardy was still able to score 18 in the Championship last season.

38 year old Jamie Vardy only able to score 8 in the PL this season.

Maybe we could get 39 year old Jamie Vardy next year. He'd still comfortably be our best striker. Pay as you play deal, obviously.

Eight goals for a poor side in the Prem shows he's still got something about him.

If he's there next season, you'd still fancy him to hit double figures. Whereas when we talk about 'strikers' and 'double figures', we're talking about the likely games they'll play in a season!

Highly embarrassing for us to concede so many against a team that doesn't score. The whole point of them playing their first team against us was to boost confidence with a win but it seems to have had the opposite effect on them that they got worse.

If they, and Southampton, go straight back up next season because of their ill deserved financial rewards for being totally useless giving them an advantage, I think I will give up on football for good.

It was cold, so bloody cold. Was on the way home after a work trip and managed to forget decent shoes - feet froze and started slipping with the frozen drips from the stand's roof. Couldn't see the game, knew we were losing, 'kin freezing, already had a 5 hour drive south with another three to go and car was parked at the end of a street that would have taken an age to get away from. I left at 72 minutes. I have never left that early in my life, didn't regret it then, don't regret it now.

Freak result, let's hope we play them away early season when their confidence will be on the floor and they will be used to losing.

Assuming we stay up of course...

Can we go out yet?
