You posted that Farage stated it , nothing to do with any particular political party and yes it should be re-examined , dont you agree that millions of taxpayers money is wasted on Diversity managers for example or having to purchase specific t items in bulk regardless of the need ,this due to how contracts are established. There’s definitely waste but I’d say DEI is down that list.
Procurement at the top is where it’s starts, along with internal systems in a myriad of areas.
I’d like to see the figures on how much diversity and equality officers save. There’s complying with legal duties for a start, stopping getting sued.
We have a government keen to get the long term sick back work. Equality officers have a big role to play in this.
The public sector is struggling to recruit in some areas as the private sector is leading the way in flexible working. Again, Equality officers can really help with this (particularly in regard to getting parents of young children into work.
