Relaxed Rangers make their point against City – Report on 10:16 - Apr 14 with 4268 views | thehat | Thank you Clive - Fantastic report as always. Wasn't it nice to be able to come to a sunny Loftus Road and watch a really good game of football without any stress. Obviously a big summer ahead which will be covered in more detail in the coming weeks/months. But for now I'm just so happy we can watch the remaining games without any high blood pressure and continuing to check phones to find out how bloody Cardiff City are doing. I might just be able to.....you know enjoy myself!!

I reckon one more win makes it absolutely done but perhaps even one more point. I have had a recurring dream that we beat Sunderland who are nailed on in 4th and I just don't see them over committing in the tackle up there on that final day, or risking too many first teamers. I may well be wrong. Swansea of course have nothing to play for now so you'd hope we give them a go at home. Certainly there is another win in the next 4 games I feel.

The difference a week makes is incredible. 5 points tagged on and Rory wins the masters to top off a very enjoyable weekend. Thought it was a cracking game . Our diddy men were excellent in the first half last my dear departed dad would have said “ like flies around cowshite” Never gave them a moments rest . Fine side Bristol, especially Earthy . A real livewire .

"Koki Saito’s sending off and three-game ban in the last minute of the Leeds defeat really did ice that particularly unpleasant cake." We drew that game did we not?

Relaxed Rangers make their point against City – Report on 11:57 - Apr 14 with 3687 views | Noelmc | Thanks Clive. Great report. I'm sure the long streaks without a win in our recent history are a mentality issue. However it should be possible to conquer this as Rory demonstrated so well last night, with many crediting his sports psychologist Bob Rotella for improving his mental strength. Who was the guy we used back in the 2010's, sadly since passed away I think, whose mantra was 'Find a way'?

Relaxed Rangers make their point against City – Report on 14:37 - Apr 14 with 3065 views | ManinBlack | Interesting to see some online comments from Bristol fans that the game was dour. Presumably a reflection that they didn't create enough in a game they thought they would win. One sentence in the report that caught my eye was about Bristol being unbeaten in their last 7 visits which is now 8. That in itself shows why we won't trouble the promotion picture anytime soon. We might have an excuse not beating teams with parachute money but like us, Bristol don't have that money but we can't win at home against them. The home form has to be really good to challenge at the top and we have been sadly lacking for years. We have now gone four home games without a win so I hope we win the next one as don't want to go into the start of next season with 6 home games winless. Look at our start to this season unable to win at home. Don't want that again!

Weirdly though, our record at Ashton Gate is similarly excellent - unbeaten in five, winning four.

It was but I'd rather we were in City's position and potentially looking forward to the play-offs. That's where we need to be - though I enjoyed the match, it felt like a pre-season game in some ways because of the weather and our position (pretty much safe). We really need to be targeting the play-offs next season - pretty mad that Millwall are still in contention.

Millwall are still in contention for the reason we're not. Made a similar number of signings, spent a similar amount of money, more of those have worked than ours.
Relaxed Rangers make their point against City – Report on 15:43 - Apr 14 with 2777 views | nadera78 | A nice, safe, comfortable end of season game with the pressure off after a win at mighty Oxford - which suits this club and far too many of the players. As soon as the games have meaning to them though, they all go missing - which is why it's annoying me seeing people on this forum and social media acting as if we've turned a corner. There's some absolute dross at this club - bottlers and time-wasters and nearly men - and they need to be shot out of a cannon at the first opportunity. This team needs legs, it needs muscle and above all it needs guts. Otherwise, next year is just a repeat of this one. Edit: that wasn't aimed at you btw Norf, in case it came across that way [Post edited 14 Apr 16:16]

Not at all mate, as you know from what I've written over the last few weeks I totally agree with you. Away victories this year - 24th, 23rd, 22nd, 20th, 17th ends.

Couldn’t agree more. I was certain before this one we would see a good showing. Sun out, pressure off, pleasant team of nice little technical boys in town (not you Sincs). Winning away at Oxford far more of a surprise than turning up for this one. Nothing has changed for me - still very concerned at the direction we’re going in under the current (off the pitch) leadership. One end of season podcast interview with the manager (preferably on a certain Patreon…) would quell so much chat. Madness that they (he) wont do it.

The record at Ashton Gate is why I am perplexed why we can't beat them at home. Bristol are not strong on the road so it seems criminal we can't beat them at home.

I interpreted the 'unpleasant cake ' to mean that Saito's 3 game ban exacerbated our injury problems, especially up front, rather than the Leeds result

Yeh it was that, but I did put 'defeat' in the original copy.

No great mystery, just random distribution of statistics. Flip a coin a hundred times and it won't be heads/tails in perfect sequence.

Despite the result, the game was awarded to Leeds afterwards because they're massive.

Not sure the golf is the best example given he lost a 4 stroke lead in the last round and scraped through in a playoff.

Or, that he won his last five play-offs.
