This list would simply not be complete without mentioning Ollie. As has been mentioned by so many people so often, you'll struggle to find anyone who will happily give you his undivided attention for as long as you can handle it in such an all-encompassing manner without ever making you feel like he feels he's superior to you.

Danny Shittu.

Posted before, but briefly: 2005 a good friend and long time Ranger, was dying. Through some people I got hold of Danny and without hesitating, he, Messrs. Bean, Bignot, and Rose came to see my mate Frank in hospital. As they walked on the ward with other terminally patients, a few chaps recognised them and were wowed by our boys coming to see one of their own.

They stayed a good while and brought loads of QPR stuff to decorate my mate's bed. Although Frank is buried under Loftus Road, he never got to go to one final game. But for one afternoon at least, QPR came to him.

You Rrrrrrss!!

Johnny Varane comes across really well, always has time for a chat with the young fans before a home game.

Add Joe Lumley, certainly nowhere near the greatest keeper we have had, but loved the Rs and seemed a good all round egg (even gave us a goal when he came back and played against us!!)

Agreed.

I also remember a night game in which Ollie was a sub. We were in the East Paddock and after about 20 minutes a couple of our players had already been injured. Ollie was warming up and asked the crowd if any of us had brought our boots.

On a less positive note, friends of ours were at an AFC Totton game recently and Charlie Austin told a young lad that he was too busy to give him an autograph. Charlie wasn't even playing.

Suffering since 1978.

Eze. On his debut game my son was ill and couldn't make it so I waited outside for Eze autograph. He signed some but accidently walked past me. One of his friends pointed this out and he came back. This also emphasises what a good bunch he hangs out with.

Gary Waddock. As a young fan the way he used to chat with the crowd during games has stayed with me

Phil Parkes. My neighbour pointed him out once, he - Phil - was working at a nearby property, fitting a kitchen, I think. I didn't realise it was him. Phil was happy to chat away about the Rs, he was friendly and interested and completely down to earth.

Lee Cook. Donating his sign on fee, going to watch our games and sitting in with we plebs, a great player too. I met him at an away game at Cov once, he was mingling with the Rs fans like any other punter, and was happy to give me his autograph. Top man.

Someone I once worked with was close friends with Shaun Derry. They said he was very conscious of how lucky he was to have football as his career and that he tried to always make time to speak to the fans.

"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."

I've got one of his Adidas warm up tops. My mate did his coaching badges with him at Roehampton, mentioned I was a fan and got the top the next time he saw him. Anyone who's met him says the same

Simon Barker always seemed to me to come across as a nice decent bloke.

Les Ferdinand, he would stand for pics and sign autographs before games until he was in danger of being fined or dropped for being late into the dressing room. I used to park next to him, Macca & Impey on the WC estate years ago and occasionally would arrive, and walk to the ground at the same time as him and I never got the impression that minded.
Armand Traore was another who I often used to walk from WC station to the ground with and we had some really good conversations, not always about football and he always to ask about what was going on in my life too so not self absorbed.
Rayan Kolli is also a nice person from my, more limited than the others, contact with him.
Stéphane Mbia was another really nice person who liked to chat to fans and there is a couple from Sothampton who are S/T holders and he always used to give his shirt to them after games, including his Cameroonian shirts.

The grass is always greener.

Really nice bloke, met him a few times. I usually don't get upset when ex players pass, but when Ray went that got to me.

Class bloke, world class player.
