And a thousand of us go to Sunderland regardless. To them, enjoy your summer. To the custodians of our club, and that’s all you are, sort it out."

More passion and love and care about this bloody club in one sentence of that piece, than all those p*ssing about on the ‘upper floors’ of LR put together . I hope to god someone somewhere reads that and it hits home with someone . I’d say no chance, but I feel we will come to a point very soon where we have to get Clive and a few others heard by the people that matter . Our voices matter more than they realise . Exceptional writing Clive . [Post edited 2 May 18:42]

Keep Calm and carry on - Preview on 18:47 - May 2 with 3795 views | E15Hoop | Isn't it amazing that we're all sitting here watching this conglomeration of wills and oversized egos staking their claim over what is at least in pure P&L terms a failing business? You would have thought that these supposed captains of industry would have worked out by now that for any business to succeed it needs everyone pulling together and on message, but, as we've mused on here many times before, football seems to give these suited wonders an excuse to behave poorly in a way that simply wouldn't be tolerated in any other context. To adapt Mario Balotelli's well-chosen phrase slightly: "Why always us?" | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Keep Calm and carry on - Preview on 20:51 - May 2 with 3346 views | Wegerles_Stairs | Great piece, Clive, but I do think our supporters are partly to blame. We need more of an ultra mentality - don't clap us off when we lose 5-0 at home; go to Heston and tell the players how crap they are. Steal Nourry's steering wheel. Chuck tomatoes at the coach (or airplane if we lose a 4-0 lead in Europe). Probably too late for the older generation but let's hope the younger fans you mention show more substance and the CP Company/Stone Island garb isn't the only thing they have in common with the ultras.

Keep Calm and carry on - Preview on 21:12 - May 2 with 3305 views | stevec | Us fans have contempt for the owners who oversee a failing football team, the owners show contempt for us knowing the fans aren’t the solution to the one and a half million they lose every month. The consistent factor in both the above issues is overpaid players, that holds the key to all of this. Average players are earning far more than is justifiable. We’ve got a decent bunch here, it feels difficult to call this out, but is £400,000 to £500,000 a year, as an average, really warranted? If you look at most sports very few earn those kind of sums, only the relative world elite. Here at QPR, say 35th in this country, forget about worldwide, there’s probably 20 here alone earning around half a mill. The whole set up is mad.
Keep Calm and carry on - Preview on 22:07 - May 2 with 3129 views | rbee | Disappointing to read about the lack of the Player of the Year and Shirt Sponsors events. Very disappointed the way that the shirt sponsors have been treated. In a way it reflects 21st century life. We can remember the time when the club would do almost anything to accommodate the fans. The shirt sponsors this year seem to be nuisance. You mention that some people at the club are perhaps ''too cowardly, too afraid to do it themselves'' you could also add lack of confidence to that. So many young people these days would rather send a text or email rather than actually to talk to someone. I remember both the Player of the Year and Shirt Sponsors events slowly getting more difficult as the years went on. Reading reports from the attendees saying that it was blatantly obvious which players were happy to be there and those that weren't with an increasing number of weren't as time went on. I am not making excuses for the club, far from it. There are always solutions to problems. Hold a shirt sponsors event after a game, divide the players in to pairs putting any young nervous players with a Steve Cook or Jimmy Dunne. Whoever sponsored Marti, or players not around, should receive proper apologies and be given other shirts and training gear, made to feel special. You reap what you sow.

You know what? I agree! Said for years we’ve become Apathy Park Rangers It’s oft noted in these ere pages how in the past we’ve been on the pitch or storming the doors of SA Road due to Thompson or mergers etc. Not so these days. A fantastic piece to close another turbulent season

Almost got me invigorated again, even at the end of this terrible week. Full credit to the 1,000 going up there, personally I hope a couple of anti-Nourry songs start doing the rounds. Apart from that - thanks so much for all the brilliant writing, viewpoints and entertainment throughout yet another season. Safe travels.
