In hospital awaiting open heart surgery. Hope he comes through okay, known him for absolute years, more through him managing the LSA team later to become the Suffolk punch.
Whenever I stood near him in an away end and the ref was having a shocker he’d always turn to me and say “he’s worse than fúcking you” !

I saw him a few weeks back in Hammersmith Hospital when I was in for a check up. He popped over to say hello and commiserate on Rangers latest debacle. Didn’t think to ask what he was there for.

Best wishes to Vic and he makes a full and speedy recovery.

Was very nice to me when I was a young lad over from Ireland. Damn nice of him.

hope he makes a full recovery, a proper fighter vic in every sense of the word.
visited him in hospital a couple of times.
had some very hairy days with vic back in the 70's and 80's, a lot of fun though.
even when we had a football tour of swindon, where his family reside now, back in 1977, he was ill the whole week, but still played the few games we had.
i'm sure a few of you lot have been to the deers leap pub in swindon where we used to stop off when playing them away.
top man vic, one of the main characters at qpr. for years and years.
first time i'd ever see blood spilt at qpr, in the loft at a testimonial against west ham back in 1970....vic and couple of others were set upon by their lot, and vics head was covered in claret.
never walked away from danger....
if you know vic and you're qpr, you are his brother or sister.

get well soon old chap.

Hope Vic gets well soon.

Proper QPR institution. Always had time for a chat and a good laugh.

Been in the trenches with him a few times, tough as nails. Yeovil away in the FA Cup was a good one from memory.

Wishing him all the best

Vic has been a constant at Rangers since the days of the Loft Boys back in the late sixties. A proper, staunch stalwart, a good man to have by your side.

My very best wishes to Vic.

Unfortunaly he died a few years ago.
He had a muscle wasting illness that made it very difficult for him to walk.
But still got to as many games as he could right to the end.
He had a mobile scooter bedecked in Rs scarfs, banners and badges.
A true Rs fans going back to the 70s

One of our most loyal fans and most Rangers fans will know him. He has his operation 21 May. He’s delighted we beat the bus stop lot this evening. Good luck with the operation Vic.
