Absolute proud to be a ranger tonight.... 22:10 - May 15 with 3612 viewsqpr_1968

i know there was a thread on tonights game....but this deserves one on its own. The atmosphere and the willing to achieve such a great, in my mind, cup win over, not so much a premier team, but the way we won it....
we were superb in every round....what a great night.
onwards and upwards you r's.....
proud to be there tonight, and proud to be a ranger....

What a fantastic performance! This is a night those lads will never forget. And in front of 8000 fans - brilliant support.

So happy for them all! UR's!

also really encouraging to see so many young people in the stands tonight - groups of kids watching and enjoying the game. My pal said to me it reminded him of when we used to go to games and pay 30/50p at the turnstile.
Terrific performance from the team tonight - really played for each other and covered each others backs.
Fantastic night...

Great to shut up those little pillocks whose parents were toddlers when the Southend massive used to infiltrate the Royal Oak.

Wow. How long ago, was it 30p and 50p.

Think it was £3 and £5 when I first remember paying myself.

Great night and experience for these boys and to play in front of a decent sized crowd is a test in itself.

Obviously no one can know where any of these boys can get to, with ourselves and also in their future careers, but a fantastic performance by every single one of them and can only be a massive positive for them all.

Brilliant...

The delivery for the third goal was the best Loftus Road has seen all season.

Hope Chair and Paal were watching and taking notes.

Amazing support from our fans.

Much better way to end the season at home than the last senior game.

Impressive all round performance and effort.

Murphy’s set piece delivery was good, as was the deflected shot that went in. He strikes the ball really well and hits the right areas. Also appears to be quite vocal with teammates and the ref, without the unnecessary stuff that gets you booked - a la Colback.

More of that approach, attitude and skill-set at the club please.

Many thanks for the entertainment and effort by everyone concerned. A credit to QPR, especially all the fans that attended !

Those possessed by devils, try and keep them under control a bit, can't you ?

Such a good performance, as others have said. Can only echo how we actually looked the side wanting to play football - and as much as I am a Marti disciple I did enjoy our willingness to shoot rather than play that one extra pass; to me, the scourge of the pretty modern football patterns. We looked up for it, pacy and positive, and so promising that Morgan was the stand out player. So enjoyable.

Can't end without a whinge though - the stewarding once again was pathetic. Something (gentle) has to be done about those groups of kids in the Loft Standing who insist on standing / sitting on the rail - they are all about 15/16 so big enough not to do so - they have no consideration for anyone behind them and another small kid was left in tears by it last night. His night was recovered (I hope) by being moved along to an older caring group of fans. As Clive has said, these guys are passionate and fun Rangers and our future lifeblood, but kids are kids and the occasional bit of decent stewarding will sort it out so they learn and other (younger) R's don't get a terrible experience. The two male stewards who tried to sort it out were absolutely pathetic, followed by a female one who did get them to stand properly - but then promptly disappeared. Anyone knew it was going to happen again.

Absolutely no big deal but it is becoming a constant, like the "we'll sit where we like" - and the club needs to sort it out for everyone's benefit.

Absolutely buzzing this morning. I know it was free entry and a final against a rival, but to turn up in those sorts of numbers for an U21s game was great to see. No matter what QPR put us through, we have fantastic fans who always turn up. Love to see some highlights.

Exactly this, what a result and what a lovely evening all round. Might swing by the Snooty Fox in Canonbury after work where the landlord happens to be a Bees fan, the kind of Peter Gilham disciple type, take what you can, when you can!

Totally agree with the sentiment here.

Last night felt very 'QPR'. Good, honest, hard-working football with a swagger. It's been a while since I recognised our club's DNA in one of it's teams quite so abundantly.

I think it's made extra special by that wonderful man looking like a pure thoroughbred stood on the touchline, doing his best for QPR exactly like he's done every day since the day he got here nearly 25 years ago. I watched a YouTube video of one of his coaching sessions this morning, he has a wonderful communicative manner that commands attention and respect. Clearly those lads are enjoying themselves playing for him. He really is a class act and someone we should be very proud to have working for us.

That midfield of Morgan, Tuck and Murphy was pretty sublime. What a trio. They have a bit of everything between them and compliment each other so well.

Thanks and well done to all involved. I hope they're all buzzing this morning, they all deserve it.

Murphy kept asking the bench what to do, he wanted to play it into the corner like the previous free kick on the other side, which we fluffed and ended up giving away a free kick and getting booked... he was told to stick it in the box, and rather than floating this one he really whipped it in with pace and swerve, wonderful delivery.

What a perfect night, a few pre match beers and a lovely atmosphere in the ground. We were so much better than the Bus stop boys. Well done to all the coaching staff over the last 4yrs and the training ground move is seeing so early results. Some well needed, really positive vibes coming out club this week.

Wasn't able to get there last night. Here in Ramsgate we have operation Dynamo 85th anniversary celebrations. A couple of my relatives were sailing the MV Watchful down from Hartlepool and moored yesterday, so we had a bit of a reunion

But was able to follow the match intermittently on the thread and it seemed like it was a really good night.

Hopefully with the turnout and support last night, it might just give the powers to be a kick up the @rse to take cup games a little more seriously... as the saying goes " build it, they will come"

Well done to everyone that went, well done to the young lads, seems there maybe a little bit of hope kicking about regarding the club

I think last night was also a reminder of what football is all about, proper grass roots stuff.

We're in an age where football has just become obscene, I mean really obscene.
Kids all 'supporting' Real Madrid, PSG, Al-Nassr, Inter Miami, Man City etc.
So good to see so many kids last night, especially on a school night too.

Brentford fans already pretending it didn't matter to them, they have a proper derby on Sunday blah blah blah.
Have a look at Brentford's Facebook page.... nothing, absolutely nothing about last night's game. Not even any mention pre-game, build up, walking onto the pitch, game updates etc. Nothing.
Then look at QPR's, total coverage.

Brentford fans saying how far we've fallen because of the amount of attention we've given it. I'd tell them this.... how much of a modern machine have you now become that you don't even give a second of time to your B team, your kids?
If I was one of those players looking at the QPR Facebook page, I'd be saying "why hasn't my club given us any coverage like that?"
