... on his way back apparently. That's the Jimmy Dunne replacement sorted then!

This is one of the major achievements Nourry's disciples on X attribute to him debunked...

€1.7m -

Can we go out yet?

No one surely believed there was another club as foolish as us who'd buy him did they. Another cracking piece of business by the club.

I'm not as cynical on this, it was a low risk free transfer that didn't work out, can't hit on them all. I'm sure they'll find a way to mutually part ways if he isn't in the future plans. Good luck to him

Absolutely stunned that £1.7m option didn't materialise. Never saw that coming.

Was there ever a time people didn't moan about transfers?

Yeah how disgusting that every QPR signing hasn’t been a success. How come no other clubs make bad signings? Shocking Rangers, shocking.

We love a good moan but it does seem with the transfers some people are expecting 100% success rate.

In the same way that Chris Samba asked "What does a £100k/week player look like" which seemed to me he was suggesting they are human, don't always succeed etc etc which is precisely why players should not be bought/sold and paid such obscene amounts of money especially if they cannot deliver what was expected of that signing.

I think fans will always have expectations tied to the players cost or salary, not that it's fair to the players themselves, Madsen didn't ask to be our costliest transfer in the summer for example.

However to scrutinise the "business" of a free transfer in this case I think is a reach. If you look at our other frees in the summer, Nardi and Morgan, I'd say we've done very well in 2/3 of these signings.

It's because there are no guarantees which is why, IMO, all the transfer & salary fees should not be as high as they are. If a player is that confident of their ability, make it performance/bonus related payments to reflect that. Happens in Sales departments of companies all over the world.

If they don't deliver, they don't get paid as much and the club doesn't suffer. If they deliver, everyone wins.

He was signed on a free, don't see why some are getting annoyed he hasn't been sold at £1.7m. Sell him for £500k and it washes its face.

Should point I don't think it helped the blokes confidence being played as a left back against Boro, courtesy of MC.

Was he signed on a free? I didn't think we were allowed to know these things

to any of those who went to cambridge in the cup the evidence ws obvious within the first ten mins that he had been brought up playing in the street without a football , he had no idea what to do with it if it did ffind its self at his feet or if an opposing player had it .

im guessing he was found the day harvey price was doing work experience at the club that day , Nourry said go on harvey have go its easy !

OK this one is clearly a miss, but not all the signings last summer have been terrible.

Schoolboy error by Nourry. Never buy a player who sounds like a half and half football scarf.

Wrong on so many levels.

They might still be using the old recruitment method of seeing him actually play football, the dinosaurs.

In theory, absolutely a cheap punt that didnt work out shouldn’t be worth getting excited over.

Again though it comes back to the ongoing question of the data model being used for recruitment and what inputs were put in that churned out a right winger from the Portuguese 2nd Division as our new starting right back.

OK crash helmet on. Could he be reasonable cover for Smyth?

See how he responds to the new manager, assuming it was the previous manager's decision to loan him out..

Ben Doak has sent him a message.
"Welcome back. I can't wait for our next encounter".

"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the Earth all one's lifetime."
