York v Oldham 20:12 - May 20 with 4351 views | Daley_Lama | Called it! Said when they beat us 4-0 that, come the playoffs, their over-confidence at the back could bite them on the bum. 1-0 Oldham - keeper rolled it out to defender, he got mugged, 1-0 .

His podcast with Shearer and Richards is great. Imagine getting so offended by a presenter that isn’t Peter Duncan. Now he was annoying.

Crowd are getting restless, and things not comming off for York. Playing very much like our lot, building from the back but the gift of a goal by the GK has well and truly but Latics in control. Come on York wake up, we don't want your mob in this League next season

York v Oldham on 21:24 - May 20 with 2544 views | DaleFan7 | Fair play to Oldham, they've taken it to their opponents, given them virtually nothing, got leads, carried on attacking and got the job done for a trip to Wembley. Something we can't do.

If only if we didn't have a negative, boring ,tactically inept manager ( and am being kind with these comments) we could of had a chance of playing these lot at Wembley. We could of had two visits to Wembley this season, but McNulty fcuked them both up, bey hey let stick with him, even through he hasn't learnt anything nor improved in the last 2 years.

York v Oldham on 22:55 - May 20 with 2020 views | dingdangblue | They've certainly hit form at the right time. Where's Garner been all season and that Yonganathan on loan from Barnsley is tireless in the middle. Look a completely different team that drew luckily 1-1 with us at Boundary Park. They'll take some stopping now.

Corry Evans in midfield too. Been injured for months after joining from Bradford in January, Oldham fans going mad at yet more money being spent on ageing players who barely contribute (like Garner). He’s now started the two play off games ahead of Conlon and Lundstram. There’s no long term plan, but one that looks to win the next game. And that’s what they’ve started doing at the most vital time.

Absolutely. But, yet again, mid-game pitch invasions by their "fans". It's happened so many times this season in breach of NL regulations. Why can Oldham get away with it? Where is the punishment? That said, weren't York projecting themselves as the next Wrexham? Oops. [Post edited 21 May 0:57]

Oldham fans disgraceful absolutely zero respect for any rules. As for the team they did a very professional job v Halifax and again last night wow. Gifted First goal just why do lower league teams carry on with this folly. Oldham got the ball forwards quickly - pressed high and fully deserved the win. Dale missed there chance... we could learn from how Oldham approached the 2 play off games so far.
York v Oldham on 08:55 - May 21 with 1411 views | EllDale | A lot of Oldham fans were screaming for the manager to be sacked in the last weeks of the regular season. He’s certainly got team and tactics spot on in the playoffs though.

Yes huge missed opportunity now with the stand out team other than Barnet out of the way. Oldham will be huge favourites after these 2 games now. Play off games supposed to be tense and dramatic and Oldham's have been over after 12 mins and 51 mins! I doubt you will hear Mellon saying they are not ready to go up. You can't pick and choose these moments - you just have to grab and take them when they arrive and Oldham are certainly doing that. We had Rodney and Bird in top form but our keeper and defending just let us down.

Its definitely time to regionalise L2 and the National League into L2 North the L2 South... crowds would improve, long midweek trips would largely go away , and the cost of those long away trips would be eased. It might mean drawing a new line each season affecting midlands clubs but the nonsense of traipsing from Surrey to somewhere like Hartlepool in the same week would be avoided.... i doubt that spending long hours on buses between games does much for those hamstring injuries we seem prone to.

How many promotion places would you want from each of those divisions to League One? You could also end up with the situation NLN and NLS currently have, whereby that level is heavily populated with southern clubs, meaning the likes of Merthyr Town, Oxford and King's Lynn are in NLN as there isn't any room in NLS. We seemed to manage okay with the long trips in our most recent promotion season, especially as three of them were to Devon. [Post edited 21 May 10:44]
