I dont necessarily agree. That could potentially leave the club in a precarious position if the freehold is bought by a third party company which can sell the ground separately to the club. See the mess Coventry City got into.

Not if he/she is a new investor in the club as suggested. Possibly if he/she purchased the ground and used it as their investment into the club for a shareholding it would be a win win situation. Instantly the value of the club rise by the stadium value, meaning current shareholders would not see their shares devalue and we would save £300,000 rent a year. Gorringe is on record as saying we can't afford to run the Stadium, Landore and Fairwood as things stand.

Agee, but I believe the current owners are really ambitious for the club, they have the money and associates with similar finances. The major problem for us currently is we are restricted to what they can actually spend/invest due to PSR.

Been far too many dodgy dealings for stuff like this to be comfortable with it no matter who the purchasing party is.

I really don't fancy having to ground share St. Helens or Parc Y Scarlets if things go tits up.

That's a minefield at the moment because of the changes in the regulations. Interest free loans are acceptable but straight investment is not. The problem with Interest free loans is the club carries the debt.

If they're valued by the coaching staff/board now is the time to extend - 4 year contracts which would mean not needing to come back to the table for a couple of years. If they start to drag their feet and risk walking on a free like Darling then we can actively look to move on in this or the next two windows for a decent sum and reinvest in long term replacements.

Both want to stay but the Swans will maybe look to extend their contracts or offer new ones next summer. That’s my thoughts but could be completely wrong.
