Which is as much to do with the target as the player crossing the ball.

What a mature, well grounded boy. Certainly passes the *no d*ck head test. I want him to do well. I wonder where's he's going to be played? Leading the line as a No9 or being a bit more creative at 10. If the latter I wonder what will happen to Cullen? Do you think Sheehan could follow Belamy's lead and play him in a deeper CM role.

He’s definitely going to starting out as a striker but he has the ability to play either sode of a strike as well.

Whether playing more upfield or further back he does see a pass quickly. He may well not be a first choice this season with the new players coming in but will be well worth his place on the bench.

Agree with this, I also feel we have nobody better making late runs into the box and finding space.

Agree with you and with johnlangy. He’s got a football brain. Unfortunately, he doesn’t have physical attributes like speed, height or power. He may not start as often this season, but his intelligence and versatility will make him a useful player for us.

Maybe the club are planning our version of Pogback and releasing the kit at the same time. Question is going to be our Stormzy?

Here comes the summer transfer rumour thread on 21:59 - Jun 12 by Dr_Winston | Kinda surprised that you think I don't like Fulton. Few have defended him more than me. I like the guy, and clearly so does Sheehan. Usually given 100% of the blame for the teams performances when paired with Grimes even though Captain Fantastic deserved his fair share. He's a very, very capable midfielder at this level. If the club want to move him on for me the only reason will be the wage he gets rather than his performances. We could probably sign two players for the same money, even if neither offer as much. |
Fulton was a player also much admired by Potter I think he got bad press after his sending off in the play off final....but he was a player trying! A useful squad player....he always reminds me of a John Mahoney type player....had aggresion and skill problem is certain managers had no clue jow tonuse him as he didnt fit their system

I hope not. He is terrible. Also, we don't have a good track record with returning strikers

I’m undecided on McBurnie. He was a talisman last time. Aggressive and led by example. The type that brought a bit more out of teammates. He’s struggled badly since though and I just get the feeling we could probably do better for the type of wages he’s likely to command.

It would be a good move for Cooper, with the player's we have signed in similar roles I can't see him getting much game time. Hopefully a reasonable fee with a decent sell on, but TBH at 25 I can't see him getting much better though. Edit £8M for O'brien is ridiculous considering he is in the last year of his contract and has barely played for them. The £5M touted I would say is reasonable. [Post edited 29 Jun 9:32]

They're pricing O'Brien out of a move which is ridiculous given the fact they probably gave 10 others in his position. Just pure greed

I agree but it’s the way of the Premiership where more money is never enough.

He holds the cards though nothing to stop him sitting it out for a 12 month and pocketing an even bigger signing on fee. It's not only Harry Darling who can run his contract down.

Correct! The longer LOB remains in the shop window, the lower his valuation will go. Championship teams have been priced out, imo. He was brought in to replace Grimes & did an excellent job. We still need a Def CM with his skills and pro-active mindset. Offer Forest £4M and a £2M add-on if Swans get to PL in next 2 yrs. If not, then Swans need to find someone with his skills or better.

It’s not just that it would be his personal terms which I feel maybe out of our limits.
