Good news, but you wonder for how long it will be before he disappears again.

And welcome back Jake Clarke-Salter

The article leaves open the possibility that he will still be working for Brooklyn Nets at the same time but be based at LR...?

Is it good news? I think it is but I'm not 100% sure. Isn't Williams supposed to be good mates with Nourry? For me that casts a bit of a shadow over this, despite what seemed to be excellent work by Williams in season 23/24.

This was one of the key (if not main) cause of Marti’s frustrations. Why on earth if Williams was coming back was it made to be a terminal issue?

My thoughts exactly, what a mess. Hope Bristol City (or whoever) enjoy an excellent young manager whilst we flail about aimlessly.

It does seem a mess but we will never know the full story......

Does this mean the NBA team have binned him off?

Well that's a bit of good news as last season was clearly a bit of a cock-up.

But that’s assuming the club didn’t tell Marti that Williams was coming back. Or Marti was sacked / resigned (still don’t know) and placed on gardening leave and then club suddenly told Williams to come back.

Surely Marti had told club he was annoyed at Williams being in Dubai and what’s happening? Did club say “tough this will continue next season” or “it’s temporary and he will be coming back next season”. If the latter, then Marti didn’t have to make it such a big issue. If the former then the club lied.

from what I've heard a big part of the fall out was that Marti wanted to bring his own people in for the medical side whilst Nourry wanted ben williams to do it

at any other club a head of department working in the same country as the club would be normal rather than progress

You’re had Cifuentes trying to move on last summer

You had Nourry try and sack him last autumn and then actually ‘sack’ him in November only for Ruben to overrule him and slap him back into line

You had Nourry telling fans outside LR that there was no ‘injury crisis’ and statistically we were ok on the injury front

You had Hoos at Easter telling fans in the posh seats that Cifuentes was a cnt and we were well rid of him

You had Cifuentes having stories placed in tabloids about what cnts Hoos & Nourry are

The idea that Williams coming back could salvage that relationship is as fanciful as trying to salvage the Titanic after 100 years on the seabed…

Ha! It is how the standards have fallen at QPR, over many years. Now the fans are happy to put up with an appalling home record, a consultant recommending himself for the top job and even give kudos to players because they are "usually available".

Watching that Joel Lynch thing just brings it all home recently. We're being taken for mugs.

Ah, but the owners loan us money each month to keep us going. I still can't believe it is beyond the realms of possibility that someone could invest who actually cares about running the club, wants to be present at all times and could just buy a small share of it (a la Parrish and his 10% of Palace).

So poor, so frustrating.

Ahh, but while he will undoubtedly be working on injuries sustained in zones 1 and 2, will he be treating those picked up in zone 3?

I can only see this as a positive.

We dared to try something different, we all know now it didn’t work out. Most of all the board saw it too and it has changed back. What more could you ask really.

Come on guys … try a little smile now and again - it works

Speaking of the Titanic I am halfway through an excellent/ horrific Netflix Documentary about the Ocean Gate implosion what a cluster fcuk of avoidable deaths.
As for our own sinking ship if Williams can re- grow JCS into the player he was 2 years ago that in itself will be worth it and if our never ending muscle injuries stop we could actually be a decent team

Is he working for nothing this year, seeing as he took a wage last year in return for 'seemingly' doing f*ck all.
