He came, he saw, he earned a lot of money, unfortunately his legs were gone.

Seemed like a decent guy though.

I bet he’s really cross - always thought he was nailed on.

Leaving with stigmata.

You just know he's going to sign with someone and arise from the dead.

He was a good signing for us. Good player his first year, this past season his age seemed to catch up with him. We are right to let him move on

What I don't get, and as I've said, he's hardly old. He's, what, 30/31, not 36! Either he's just not fit enough, or not enough of an athlete. I wonder how he sees it!

It's a pity, because he has a decent touch at this level, but he just doesn't deliver.

Poll: Playoffs?

I liked him, but it was easy to figure out well before the end of his first season how he ended up with us. Rare flashes of genuine quality wedged in between much longer periods of meh.

Players in their late 20s and beyond are very unlikely to change the pattern of their careers. I remember looking up the records of Andy Johnson and Bobby Zamora when they came to us and marvelling at the idea they would improve on their late history of long periods of injury and low goal tallies (they didn't, of course).

I never felt he was any good with crosses and in the end, his legs gave way!

That said, Thank you Lucas you served us well on occasion and that is good enough for me!

I think his legs had gone at this level, much like Stefan a few years ago. Top bloke, played some good games but best for all parties to go separate ways now.

Never knowingly right.

A player who could pick a pass and played with his head up. Made him invaluable when he first came in. Now we have Madsen who does the same and hope he continues his late season surge in form into 25/6.

Gutted it didn’t work out for him. Really liked his style of play, such a shame he couldn’t stay fit.

He was a very stylish player but it felt like the pace and physicality was too much for him in the end.

I understand the reasoning, but I kinda liked having him around.

Technology advances, unfortunately humans do not.

I have to disagree, I feel we should have offered him a one year extension, based on his Championship nous if nothing else. Possibly we did and at almost 31 I can understand why he would not accept that

I'm with you and at the end of last season there were times I thought his legs were coming back to life. Wish him all the best and a happy return to London.

I believe Jesus wept as he left Loftus Road

He’ll be back. Probably in about three days.

He'll surely resurrect around Easter and stop by for a cup of coffee with Jimmy in Chiswick. A class player, who probably has a couple more seasons in him, but not in the Championship. I guess that I have to change my Lucas Andersen avatar now.

Agree it's a bit of a weird one to see a drop like that so suddenly. Could be one of those things where a niggly injury that you can in your twenties is easy enough to recover from but in your thirties (albeit barely) the body doesn't quite get back to 100%. At this level that could be enough to make the difference

Plus, the championship isn't exactly a league you can hide in. Even if you don't want to.

He’s promised the local bakery a shedload of free bread…..

Those possessed by devils, try and keep them under control a bit, can't you ?
