Reading fans in a bit of a meltdown on twitter over this. A common theme is the talk about his character and passion which is great to have. Still young at 23, hopefully some good upside, feel like this is an excellent addition especially on a free
Good signing. You canât teach pace, which he has in abundance (and our defence needs!), by you can coach the bits of his game that needs work. Over to you Mr Bould.

"CEO Christian Nourry said: âAmadou brings pace, power, defensive nous and an infectious personality to the first-team squad, as well as EFL experience.
âWe are pleased that he has chosen QPR to take his next step.â"
Has he been reading the articles?

What I canât decipher is why we can get him on a free but weâll have to pay over a million (including add-ons) for Poku. Theyâre both the same age - I thought regardless of how long a playerâs been at a club, that team gets compo if he moves to a team in the same country
Shit but local

It's stepped for how long the player is at the club I think, and Mbengue hasn't been at Reading long at all really. The Reading fan in the article linked above seems to think they'll get something for him though.

Just had a look and:
"The Reading Chronicle understands that Reading will be entitled to some compensation due to his age."
I'm not sure how it'll compare to the 900k for Poku though

The Reading fans are absolutely gutted and from all I have read he has been excellent for them, so seems a very positive signing.
Maybe our transfers this season are on the same trajectory as last season except they are all plying their trade in England. So hopefully that means they dont take a season to hit the ground running.
Sounds a similar trajectory for Poku also.
The proof will be in the pudding, whatever the hell that means.
Just seen the video interview. He seems scarey. Could intimidate those of a lesser temperament.
Diakite vibes with consistency of performance hopefully....
As I mentioned on another thread, I spoke to a couple of Reading fans who talked about this bloke in almost club legend terms. Sounds like a superb player but also like the right sort too. A bit of leadership from a young age. Huge plus is he knows a 46 game season too.
