Which makes me think that prior to the Plymouth game we had no interview with Stephan. Just a pre-prepared script on the socials. There were no questions or answers about injuries which we get normally. So now the news on Larkeche has been revealed which is deadful for us. But the silence on Dunne and Poku does make you think that they’re out for a good while. Now after Ben Williams being brought out for the Fans Forum last week is not a great look. There has to be a reason why we keep getting injuries so often. Fingers crossed Dunne and Poku are ok and we will see them on Saturday at Watford. | | | |

It all depends on what exactly the injury is and how it was sustained.
It's a contact sport that involves a lot of knee twisting. So if it is an ACL, such things are sadly, an occupational hazard. Consequently, ZL's injury may have nothing to do with BW and everything to do with old fashioned bad luck.
That said, any professional sports team should be analysing its injury record and looking at how it's preparing its athletes, focusing not just on fitness but injury prevention (in so far as it can), and how it recuperates and rehabs them.
Until we know what and how, I wouldn't rush to judgment just yet. But as much was made about injuries not being as bad as MC was making out, several months in, we don't seem to be improving for what ever reason(s). |  |

My son snapped his ACL in January and required reconstructive surgery.
His fysio (specialised on ACLs and working closely with one of Ajax's satellite amateur clubs) says it takes AT LEAST 9 months to fully recover. Said that football players who rush a comeback are risking further and long term damage, not necessarily ACL again, but ankles, knees, everything is vulnerable while the ACL not fully recovered.
Dunno the extent of Ziyad's ACL, but if its torn right off, that's probably the season for him. |  | | |

Whatever we are doing, it isn't working. And didn't last year either. It's happening under his watch and maybe it's bad luck or maybe it's his methods, but either way bringing him out and praising him in a way which has never been done before leaves a very bad taste and makes it seem like the board here take us for mugs. |  | | |
