Anyone else going to Zurich tomorrow night? We are sat behind one of the goals in section B11,and although I’ll be wearing an England shirt rather than a QPR one,I’ll be waving my QPR flag, especially if Chloe comes on.
Come on England.

This is hilarious 🤣

Maybe they don’t give a stuff what men in their 50s think 🤷‍♂️ Like a lot of folk.

Apologies if I missed some form of joke sarcasm 🥳

It was just an attempt at a mischievous post on a wind up for the purpose of this thread.

My Facebook feed is full of attempts by supposedly reputable sports news trying to compare the women's game to the men's or whatever. Its just online baiting. Bit like on here. I really don't care.

I'm happy for the women's game and the England team and especially Chloe Kelly as she's one of our own. A great achievement.

It also felt to me that all the dignitaries greeting the ladies with their medals were thinking “must not kiss….. must not kiss…..”

It was a great watch, so weird to watch England in a final and not feel the kind of stress and anxiety I did with the mens last year, caring a bit less made it a bit more enjoyable.
Plus thats the first time I've ever seen a senior team win anything as I was away in 2022 so again a really weird feeling seeing us actually achieve something.

Thought they played well, defended superbly especially Jess Carter who had been ropey earlier in the tournament but immense yesterday.

Chloe Kelly is a gem, her cross for the goal and her penalty justy superb in key momenbts, imsgaine scoring the winning goal in two finals, she deserves all the plaudits coming her way

I do enjoy the imperfections of the womens game, lots of mistakes makes for a far better game than you get at the top of the mens game where everything has become quite robotic

I can't enjoy the men's tournaments at all, too stressful, too much abuse on social media etc.

The women's is more relaxed but definitely in part because they won it before, gets the monkey off the back.

Yeah its really bad this recent rage baiting trend. Endless posts about women's football deliberately aimed at getting the same "engagement" from the same types.

There was one the other day, repeated by several outlets as usual, saying Chloe Kelly could play for a top men's team. I think just copying someone that tweeted that. Now you'd think people would see this for what a blatant, obvious wind up it is. But no, raging replies from the hard of thinking.

Nah Hemp was doing her best Paul Smyth impression - plenty of energy and running but final ball was terrible every time. Been the same for each game I watched her in the tournament. Compared with the output from Kelly.

Never mind though, what a win! Hopefully they can teach our men a thing or two about winning mentality.

I've got a lot of time for Hemp as a player. Was brilliant in the world cup where we were missing several key players. Have a look at the reverse pass she played to Russo in the semi final v Australia to help ice the game. She also went closest to scoring for us in the final, hitting the bar when it was still 0-0.

She plays a different role to Kelly, who is used as an impact sub against tiring defences and has been superbly effective.

Yep, media training worked a treat. Hopefully her Flintoff moment and no media backlash.

it's a lot more stressful but is always the same when we care more. I can enjoy watching games on tv and don't care who wins but when it comes to QPR and England, no wonder my blood pressure is so high. My wife did suggest though that maybe if the men get to the final again I could not drink and just relax as I did at the weekend, maybe me being blind drunk and jumping around like a loon was why we lost those finals. If we get to the final next summer I'll give it a go

Despite being a massive fan of hers, but didn't think it was Chloe's finest moment in front of young adoring fans - Guess I am an old fart - But I guess caught up in the emotions.

The wife said once the girls reached the stage unless you were right at the front you couldn't hear anything - Thought the victory celebrations in 2022 were better in the square.

If anyone here went with their young daughter and stood on the Mall, Mrs Superhoops stood behind you - Both of you wearing QPR shirts and you had your little girl on your shoulders.

well done to them, brilliant but until the men win something i don't care that much. if the men won anything the country would be at a standstill , not a few handfuls at southend airport or 50k at mall, millions would be out .
again well done the LIONESSES and all they have done for their sport

over to tuchel to liven us up.

I think that might have been me and my daughter (aged 11) - we both went decked out in our regalia, complete with a "Go 'R' Chloe" sign in blue and white lettering. We got lots of people coming up to us with "You R's!", which was also rather special as it made her feel part of a very special community.

She spent a long time on my shoulders, so hopefully we weren't in Mrs Superhoops way! She is right, the sound was appalling, and views not much better, but the joy and inspiration that this England team has given young girls is phenomenal. It really was brilliant to take her along. She has currently taken herself off to the common, on her own, to do football practice so she can be "as good as Chloe". This stuff is priceless and fills my heart with joy and pride.

Yes, a long time lurker, and my first post! Favourite cheese - a creamy gorgonzola

Welcome Tooting

I have just rewatched video and the young girl had a cardboard sign and a blue cap on.

That is as you say a priceless thing regarding her going off to practice. I know its not a common held opinion but your daughter is the future of womens football and maybe in 10 years time she will be scoring a winning penalty for England
