What a legend. Hope he gets to be inducted into Forever R's one day as a guest on the pitch.
Interesting that he really wanted to go PSG after 2010/11 but TF blocked it due to the 40% sell on to Spurs if he was sold. Probably explains the sulking in the early part of that season.

I liked how he changed the subject from would he show up on the 18th September to still being annoyed about that.
Still a slippery bugger.
Good listen - he seemed in great form.

And it sounded like he is still sulking about it to this day. He will never change.

Loved how he blamed Colin for Paddy getting fans POTY.
What a great time that was. In hindsight probably has to go down as the best player I have ever seen in the hoops and on reflection the club shouldnāt have blocked him going to PSG. Imagine PSG going after one of our players now

Walking past the players car park at about 2.30 on a Saturday a Mini with four North African looking blokes sat In It drove In and they all jumped out, one of them was Adel he grabbed his toiletry bag and ran into the ground. I was tut tutting to me self about how unprofessional that Is and then he spent the entire game pulling the opposition players all over the place. He was just brilliant he had an excess of footballing skill. I was at Craven Cottage for 'that game' when he went home on the bus, It's a bit hard for me to forgive him for that I'm afraid.
My Father had a profound influence on me, he was a lunatic.

half the crowd went home at half time that day as well. I found all that stuff made him even more likeable. A modern day Stan Bowles type character

That footage of him vs Burnley or Hull (?), where he was in a sulk because he thought no one was passing to him is hilarious.
I was at that game, The Hull fans slaughtered him, he was nearly in tears asking to be taken off as someone didn't pass to him. he ended up playing the whole game and was quite good second half, few days later he scored against Portsmouth

Tbf, I pissd myself when the whole of that side stand behind him stood up and mimicked the 'rolling arms / I need to be subbed' gesture, while singing "how sht must you be, he wants to go home" (for those not familiar with the unique Hull accent, try pronouncing home like there was an umlaut over the letter o - 'heum').

That was a shit decision. But we'd have only spunked the money on more wasters.
There was more to see in 5 mins of Adel being "on it" than there was to see in 46 games put together last season.
Could go on forever about what's wrong with modern football but nobody being willing to play with joyous outrageous self-belief and "play like nobody is watching" is leaving a big hole in the game. Players don't seem to want to even shoot from outside the box anymore let alone dribble, nutmeg and pirouette their way up the field before chipping the keeper to score. I do miss him!

Not disagreeing with you but I wonder if people have always said āthe problem with modern football isāā¦
Iām old enough to think football 10 or 20 years ago is still modern football. QPR in the 80s though, smashing stuff, proper football :)
