Brentford taking their full allocation 08:11 - Jul 29 with 9904 views | dandaqpr | Looks like they have an interest in reminding us on how well they’re doing. QPR fans on the whole don’t seem to do friendlies , but on this occasion our apathy will be used by them to show how well supported they are compared to us. It’s cobblers of course, but it won’t be a good look. So turn up if you can and deny them their PR stunt.

Brentford taking their full allocation on 08:25 - Jul 29 with 4449 views | Paddyhoops | Won’t be there. I predict a 2.2 draw. With two injury time goals for us followed by Julien ranting at the supporters who fecked off before the final whistle. I predict a tough season for legoland . Andrew’s will have to hit the ground running.

Brentford taking their full allocation on 08:54 - Jul 29 with 4257 views | SydneyRs | Big day out for them to engage in their obsession with us. Honestly, if they are still small time enough to wave it about at a pre season friendly then let them do it. [Post edited 29 Jul 8:55]

Brentford taking their full allocation on 08:55 - Jul 29 with 4274 views | GaryBannister86 | The only pre-season friendlies I ever did with Brentford were when they were at least two leagues below us. I don't need any physical reminder of how far we have fallen in the West London pecking order, thanks very much. I will be washing my hair. Poor by the club, in my opinion, to arrange a friendly against local rivals that can only serve to highlight our current state.

Ugh, don't remind me. One of the only games I ever left early.

Brentford taking their full allocation on 09:21 - Jul 29 with 4019 views | Bluce_Ree | Great. Really fking great. Let's have a friendly against a team who hate us, have way more resources than us and are well-established in the division above us. Perfect. So when we get bumf*cked into oblivion, how is that going to help our squad?
| Stefan Moore, Stefan Moore running down the wing. Stefan Moore, Stefan Moore running down the wing. He runs like a cheetah, his crosses couldn't be sweeter. Stefan Moore. Stefan Moore. Stefan Moore. |

Brentford taking their full allocation on 09:27 - Jul 29 with 3959 views | Hayesender | They're a funny lot. I delivered the post off of Northfields ave for years, and obviously you get to know people. When they got promoted to the prem, people who had never shown the slightest bit of interest in football, and worse still, people who were self professed Liverpool/man utd/Chelsea fans (delete as appropriate) suddenly started getting Brentford fan starter packs delivered. It's the same now down here in Littlehampton. You wouldn't believe the amount of Liverpool/man utd/man City fans have season tickets at Brighton. I find it all a bit weird

Agree totally with this. For me, it’s confirmation of full role reversal. It used to be us doing them a favour popping along to Gimpin Park to pat them on the head and give the lads a jog out. Now though……. Seeing them disappear over the hill and being a really well club just makes me despise Bungke even more for how he ran us into a cliff face. Yep….. I’m proper jealous and bitter

We’ll have to hope that the absence of Mbeumo, Norgaard and probably Wissa evens it up just a little.
Brentford taking their full allocation on 10:25 - Jul 29 with 3687 views | BklynRanger | If they beat us (and/or beat us badly) we should laugh at their joy and remind them it's a meaningless game. If we somehow beat them it will still be a meaningless game, but a lot funnier. As always we've got other, bigger issues than Brentford. On that basis I'm quite looking forward to it.
Brentford taking their full allocation on 10:30 - Jul 29 with 3644 views | BazzaInTheLoft | Is there any other one way rivalry where the team doing the hating are more successful than the the hated? Can't think of any. Maybe we should start a rivalry with Leyton Orient but not let them know.

That's the spirit. Might as well shut down the club and all go home. Saves all this depression.

Ditto! Thanks uncle Bungle and to a lesser degree, Sir Les for where we are. I have no interest in watching our striker less team play the team that was nearly always 2 divisions below QPR. I wasn’t around in the old Division 3 days.

Brentford taking their full allocation on 12:58 - Jul 29 with 3114 views | nix | It doesn't bother me that Brentford are in the Prem and I'm much more focused on us now than past glories. Why wind yourself up? I'm actually pleased we've played some decent teams in pre-season. I'm hoping it will have helped Stephan in his assessment of the squad and prep for Preston. I'm going to try and make it or watch the stream.

Thats the problem in a nutshell the fans who have carried the club on their shoulders/wallets are now being priced out by the club they have supported all their lives. Its not just Brentford of course probably across the globe but highlighted in England more I think. Maybe clubs like QPR and others can take advantage of this price gouging to attract frustrated fans or at least the casual ones to come and enjoy live football at prices that are affordable with enough money left for rent ,food etc .

“Starter Packs”. FFS! They’re a thing, are they? Welcome to becoming a Brentford fan, please dispose of your Man Utd/Liverpool/Arsenal/Chelsea shirts and scarves, or maybe to start with, just keep them in your bedroom on match days. Here are some useful tips on your journey of becoming a “Bees” fan. 1) We play in Red and White stripes 2) Our nickname is The Bees (geddit?) 3) Tell everyone you hate QPR (Queens Park Rangers). 4) If anyone asks you where you were when we were sht, tell them “Griffin Park” and not watching any of your old teams on Sky. 5) Be an even bigger tw4t then you already are. 6) Our goalie, Chic Brodie, was once bitten by a dog.

It's the chance of actually watching live football (albeit at a cost) with the comfort blanket of falling back on your glory hunter top 6 club. Humans innit.

Think Fulham too! I think we are getting a few of the younger fans coming our way now because of the cost of watching Prem football.
