Great choice, Brian.

Also enjoyed this one from Gene.

Those possessed by devils, try and keep them under control a bit, can't you ?

Whole load of James options, having just seen them live. Can’t recommend them highly enough as a performance.

Would have gone for ‘Getting away with it’ but think it’s just outside of the 90s, so maybe not 100% Britpop era and therefore Laid gets the nod.

Credited with being the first Britpop song, googled it, just trying to look clever. Not too bad really.

When you reach the place beyond thoughts, the only thing you'll find is love and the only purpose of life becomes to ease the suffering of others.

The dialogue in this scene from walk the line is brilliant, one of my all time favorites, in fact I sampled it and tried to make a tune out of it at one point, "one song that would let god know how you felt about your time here on earth"

Anyway, in my more morbid years it was a frequent topic of conversation of mine, and I usually said Sometimes by James was "my song"

That whole album is brilliant, and yeah a great live band.

Edit. Never really thought of James as a Brit Pop band mind you, but that's a whole other Loaded conversation (see what I did)

Mornin’ Saviour!

I just love Butler’s playing on this. Forgotten guitar hero, IMHO

I need a SAGA. What’s the SAGA? It’s ….. Queen’s Park Rangers.

Wow, genuinely was thinking about posting that Gene tune when I saw the thread title. The most under rated song of that era by a mile.
