BRACKLEY TOWN 11:45 - Aug 23 with 18340 views | Edindale | Expect us to continue our good form and be positive from the outset rather than playing for a cagey draw. Brackley will be physical and tough but they are part time and our class should shine through. Elsewhere lets hope that one or more of the other contenders slip up. UTD

BRACKLEY TOWN on 14:38 - Aug 23 by TalkingSutty | I don't know who the statement will be aimed at because the National League and every team that wins today wont give a rats arse about what McNulty thinks. Taking care of business is what today is about, its all about winning. It will be interesting to see how many changes, York, Carlisle, Southend make today. Football has changed, people have changed. Good luck to Jim and the players anyway, lets hope it works out and we carry on the momentum. [Post edited 23 Aug 14:47]

Southend have made three. York aren’t playing. Carlisle will probably make a few because of how poorly they’ve been playing.

BRACKLEY TOWN on 14:32 - Aug 23 by isitme | Playing Saturday, Wednesday, Saturday and Monday is a big ask. We have a big squad so why not use it? There are enough players on the bench who can come on and make an impact and the starting line up has enough quality to take care of business. What we don't want is a fatigue injury to a key player who is then out injured for 6 months. [Post edited 23 Aug 14:37]

Why not even give the first 11 half a game each then split over the 2 halfs instead of such massive changes all at once, it will be disjointed all over the pitch most of all in the net, for me its a massive gamble we dont even need to be taking, and if anyone tells me the keeper needs a 'rest' thats nothing short of embarrassing. After the run we're currently on and the confidence that's clearly running through the team I sincerely hope for Jim's sake he pulls this one off.
BRACKLEY TOWN on 14:48 - Aug 23 with 3494 views | Sandyman | After the best start in years, and following one of the best performances in years, he changes the entire team? An extreme reaction to the fixture list, when maybe fewer changes would be more responsible an action? It looks reckless, disrespectful to Brackley and to our fans who have spent good money going to the game. Come back with 3 points, fab. Jim's a genius. Lose, Jim looks foolhardy. Roll on 5 O'clock.
BRACKLEY TOWN on 14:50 - Aug 23 with 3455 views | dingdangblue | Both McNulty and East have mentioned EEL's injury from last season in interview's last week so its obviously the narrative they are going with that 2 games in 3 days is an issue. Not quite sure how it contributed to an ACL injury - maybe a muscle strain yes? Hopefully we can still get the 3 points today but it does seem like too many changes to prove a point.

BRACKLEY TOWN on 14:54 - Aug 23 with 3393 views | EllDale | My first reaction was that this would never be allowed in the NL Cup or EFL Trophy for example and it’s a bit disrespectful to Brackley. Having said that it’s ruined their manager’s game plan and their pre match prep yesterday! We’ll have to see how it pans out; lose and this thread will be up to six pages by teatime. If you can only afford to lose half a dozen games this season given the strength of other clubs is it wise to risk a defeat now though?

Wouldn’t changing like that be just as big a risk and disjointed? Also, we don’t know the reasons for why everyone isn’t playing. I doubt we’d have changed the keeper to give him a rest. Also, if we’re rightly giving credit across the management team for results so far, there has to be a similar assumption they’ve played the part in this decision making process. Anyway, if we do lose, at least it’ll break the page record for a match thread.

Yep absolutely but if he wants to make so many changes theres no need to do it straight from the kick off. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Winning mentality, feel good factor, top of the league...bugger that. I'll indulge myself and torpedo it all and play all the fringe players from the start. If i was the Ogdens i'd be fuming. Lose today and it will probably knock a few hundred off Mondays crowd. Yet again the managers decision being thrown into question and probably resulting in dropped points.

If he does he’ll make a bad situation worse. There was no need to change the entire team, but he won’t be asked if they got that decision wrong.

Sounds like Brackley are working hard while we continue to pass pass pass. Regardless of the result, Jim needs to hold his hands up and apologise. He's already as much as admitted he got it horribly wrong by making all the changes so soon. Anything else other than admission of errors of judgement will be poor form. I'd be furious if I was the Ogdens or one of the 250 supporters who made the trip.

It needs emphasing that Brackley players are part time, they also played on Wednesday and are playing on Monday. McNulty lacks the winning mentality, the weakest link yet again. More concerned about the players than winning ..poor lambs.

💯 right. McNulty may have assembled a great squad and had a good start but this debacle is utterly unacceptable and the club should refund everyone that went and spent money. It’s not only incredible arrogant (Doubt they needed a team talk) but it’s childish and pathetic. 3 changes or even 4 ok. Why rest a striker who has 3 in 3, why rest the keeper, why everything in fact. Its actions like this and his stubborn mentality that cost us last season and 4 games in he does it again. Should fine himself 2 weeks wages!!!!!!

Completely lost all momentum and given every team in the League something to laugh about. ....."Dale dicked by new part-timers" He had a new record start at his finger tips today! Did Jason Taylor and Matty Done stand up to his crazy decision?

Thrown away 3 points Thrown away momentum Thrown away top spot ( could be 5th idk Wealdstone win Turned 2 weeks of praise into a negative match thread thanks to one of the more gormless decisions I have seen any manager make in such a situation. Really need a good win on Monday & the negativity will die down. Jim has had a lot of praise in the last 2 weeks but needs the finger pointed directly at him for today's debacle. Of he admits he got it wrong in the interview he will save some face but I am not sure he will.
