Look, I'm obviously struggling with QPR at the moment.
I'm also struggling with the amount of anonymous accounts all weirdly parroting the same lines and branding honest home and away QPR fans like me "dinosaurs" "a cancer on the club" "mentally ill" "old farts".
I went and did something else with my weekend this week, because I wondered if yesterday might go as it did and I couldn't face it. Sadly I was right.
Jamie Perry is half my age, does every game home and away. I gave the match report to him.

I deleted my Twitter account a year ago despite it being part of my working life and it was the best thing I’ve done in a while, it meant missing out on a few things but that place had become genuinely dark and sinister. From a place I enjoyed connecting with like minded souls 15 years ago to today’s cesspit of propaganda and anger and cowardly anonymous nerds with genuine issues.

A long time ago, in a QPR universe far, far away, I used to post under this name on the old .Org board. I’ve read and lurked on this board for many years; blimey, I remember when Clive started it! I’ve created this account, under this name again, to come out in support of Clive. We only met once I think, a very long time ago, but stick with it fella. The work you do and the reports you write mean a lot to many, many people; don’t let people get you down. Those of us of a certain age, remember the Tommy Nintendo era on .Org and the shite Dave went through. Rise above mate as the bulk of QPR fans know what the club means to you, and what you do for the club.
I was the same as you this weekend; I knew we were going to lose I told my son that during the week. It’s taken me until today to even look at the forum as I knew it would be in meltdown. The way we lost in not good and unacceptable, but due to blind faith or just pure stupidity, I still believe 1) the new manager needs more time before he’s written off and 2) that things will improve. If I’m wrong, I’m wrong but it’s far too early to doom monger.
If people want to call me an old fart and a dinosaur as well then so be it. I’m not the fresh faced, probably internet naïve bloke I was back in the 90’s when I used to post, but I intend to post more again now. If Raistlin can come back from the dead, you Clive, can know that some other old farts have got your back.
My Prediction last week was that we would lose to Coventry and beat Charlton, and that is what I still believe. |  | | |

Thanks Jamie great report. Been to Coventry a few times in recent seasons but no way was I going Saturday. It’s an absolute disgrace the fitness levels of these players compared to other clubs and no way was I going to spend my hard earned watching that shambles.
I very nearly didn’t renew our season tickets this year too and now wish I hadn’t.

Clive - There are very few good things about the club, but I'd put you (and your dedication to the cause) as one of them. The whole fanbase is lucky to have you.
But on a personal level Im glad youve taken a break, you must need it. Step away for a few weeks, go and watch the wrong type of rugby and when you're ready i'll stick a Peroni or two on my tab.

Clive - I just wanted to know that I found this site way back in late 2004 or 2005, when I should've been writing a essay in a dark computer room at Kingston University! Your writing and passion for QPR has been the main reason I have been coming back at least twice a week ever since. Your dedication to this site along with your honest and funny writing style is commendable and you should be proud of that. The only reason I use it today is for QPR News. 1st teal, DS and Academy.
I wouldn't even do that if it was still available on Bluesky.
It's got horribly toxic since Musk took it on and re-branded it.
I did my penance this morning watching the "highlights". We should give Coventry credit but the Rs performance was woeful, especially the midfield.
I've seen posts having a go at Walsh and saying Nardi should be brought back. He might have done slightly better with their 6th, although it did come through a crowd and he could only have seen it late. Otherwise he was totally let down for ll the others. He was a long way from being the worst culprit for the end result. |  |
